Kahit nakaupo ka lang sa office maghapon, things are draining.+++ even on weekends and supposed to be my restday, nag a-update pa rin ako sa clients. Tho normal naman ‘to sa logistics/brokerage firms, nakakapagod pa rin. :(: btw, this is my first job and I’m in my 3rd month na sa company. Okay naman environment sa office. Nakakapagod lang talaga then ang haba ng working hrs. From 8am to 6:30, ma-eextend pa ‘til 9 or 10pm kasi alipin tayo ng OT pay haha chz. Loaded lang talaga ng gawain haha. I think I’m still on my adjustment phase. Maybe ‘di pa rin ako sanay. Is this valid? :3

Amazon uses so MUCH PLASTIC. I work at an Amazon warehouse for returns and it makes me think of all the plastic being use up. Picture this I'm at my work station, I rip open a plastic bag because it has codes stuck on it and can't be reused, I ripp open the plastic bag to get to the actual item being returned because it has customer info on it and can't be reused, check item, place it in a new plastic bag, put it away, open up a new box to process, it is filled with those dumb plastic air bags (I wonder what it's protecting?), there's only dress ik there in guess what!? A plastic bag! I check to see if I can reuse it, NOPE! The customer opened up the bag and closed it with plastic tape. How wonderful. And The process repeated. Plastic, Rip, plastic, rip, Plastic. And where does all this plastic go? In a plastic bag of course to get thrown away. Then these items that can be resold go off to be placed in more plastic bags to be sold to us, then when we want to return them back into new platic they go. It makes me feel stupid and useless. While doing this job I often think about all those times I brought my tote bags to the store because I didn't want to contribute to wasting plastic, or when I made plastic grocery bags into yarn to turn into baskets. I really thought I did something. What does it even matter anymore, If this is how much plastic Amazon uses in ONE part of their process what does it matter that I try to recycle and clean out my plastic bottle, make plain, take my tote bags. It's all just to make myself feel better, it's no really doing anything. I can't even say "I'm going to boycott Amazon!" Because I'm not, I just ordered something off of it today. I tried, I wanted a father's day gift for my dad, but the fishing stores near me didn't have what I wanted to gift him, not even close. So I went on Amazon, where my order will come in plastic.

Just wondering. Everyone I know is able to get jobs, even if it's shitty jobs. At my age (early 20s) I still haven't had any jobs at all. The only job I managed to get was in a warehouse because they were basically hiring everyone that applied. It seems like no one wants to hire me and I suspect that might be due to my ethnicity too. I am educated, I have a good degree and graduated 1 yr ago, I have a good CV, but it seems not even jobs in retail or warehouses want me. Cant even get an interview for Mcdonalds. So how do people actually get a job? Is it through connections only?

Hi AdultingPH. New to reddit. I just want to gather some insights about my long-term relationship.
Background of our relationship. I'm 27M and my SO is 26F. We were college friends that turned lovers. We've been together for 3 years. It took me almost 3 years itago yung feelings ko sa kanya before formally courting her in our adult years. So let's say na antagal kong hinantay at pinagdasal na magkachance kami to be lovers despite feeling na baka hindi niya ako gusto. I still waited for years to tell her how I feel.
Then, here comes the first year at naging kami. Sobrang saya ko. Everything is so perfect ang saya namin. You know, the chase part. Naginsist din ako ipakilala niya ko sa parents niya agad kasi ganun ka-clear intentions ko sa kanya. Sobrang mahal ko siya. All those years I waited feels worth it. Sobrang masaya lang na halos araw araw we shower each other with love. You get it. She's the girl of my dreams kumbaga. Dream come true. Answered prayer.
Here's where ugly things started. Before we celebrated our first year. I found out that she lied to me about being a virgin. She came from a long-term relationship so somehow inexpect ko naman na hindi. But I just found out na she lied to me about it at of course, being from a past relationship din na full of lies, na-off ako. Being lied to, parang ung memories namin became stale na hindi genuine at kasinungalingan lang. I felt so hurt. But napagusapan namin somehow napatawad ko naman siya agad. I almost told her na I wanted to break up but she begged for me. Lumuhod pa siya sa harap ko habang umiiyak. Ayon tinuloy lang namin at nagkapatawaran. Then, another away before our first anniversary. I got female friends sa new job ko. Batchmates ko sila so naging friends ko na din. Magkaaway kami one night then nalaman niya nakikipaglaro ako ng online games sa said female friends and accused me of cheating on her. Ayon. Basta then nabasa pa niya chat namin nung friend ko na yun where I told na galit na siya kakalaro ko. She felt upset dun. Although di ko naman intensyon and friends ko lang talaga mga yun. I almost had to cut of these friends para lang di na siya maparanoid. That's the end of our honeymoon stage ika nga nagkalamat na.
Just another background lang din. We both came from long term relationship with cheating partners. At meron din akong history ng cheating na alam niya which is naisip ko din baka maging factor for her to not like me pero di naman.
Then, 2nd-3rd year of relationship. I summarise ko na lang. (1) She started to be, i don't want to say "controlling" pero parang ganun. She gets upset when I spend time with my friends. Dumating sa part na tinanong ko siya na gusto ba niyang mawalan ako ng kaibigan. It's ugly. Ilang beses namin napagawayan. I always play online games with friends na halos matigil just because nagupset siya most of the time. Btw, she's introvert and on wfh kaya halos wala siya social life compared to me. (2) Mahilig siyang magsilent treatment na bigla na lang niya akong hindi papansinin buong araw or half of the day then manghuhula na lang ako why. Kumbaga parang I'm walking on egg shells na. Hindi naman ako manghuhula pero ayon. Parang kulang kami sa communication talaga. when I ask her why usually di sinasahot hanggang sa maging okay kami. Then the issue will be swept under the rug na lang. Nagaccumulate na lang yan hanggang sa andami na namin di nagpaguusapan. Pag okay naman kami masaya naman. We spend time together, we laugh together, my happy times kami marami. It's just that nagpile up yung unresolved issues.
Here's what happened recently. For a month yata yun, she stopped telling me "i love you" then ginaya ko na after a week. Although we talk na parang okay lahat pero wala nang iloveyou. We Still spend time, have sex ganyan. Turns out na andami niyang hinanakit na recently lang niya nilabas lahat. Eto yung unresolved issues na nga niya. I mentioned she's not good communicator kaya sa chat lang niya nasabi mga hinanakit niya. Gaya ng hindi na kami sweet, we don't talk about our future, yung mga pinagseselosan niya, dami. The way I act around her. Yung mga bagay na kung sana napagusapan namin nang maaga di sana naipon. Pero tao lang kasi ako. Hindi ko alam irereact. Parang main na trigger niya is hindi na ako kasing sweet ng dati. I told her na ever since our first fight before ng first anniversary namin and add pa yung mga naging issues namin sa ibang bagay nafed up na ako at nasanay sa ganito lang. Mahal ko siya eh. Pero parang nakakapagod siyang mahalin.
To add lang, nagkaroon ako ng condition that caused me to have long employment gaps so depressing kaya nakadagdag din siguro sa challenges namin. But okay naman she's still supported. At recenly nagkaroon na ulit ako ng maayus na trabaho. I'm happy and meet new people. Kaya lang recent issue namin, iniinvite ako sa outing at she said na di siya comfortable. Eto eh habang nagchat siya sakin ng lahat ng unresolved issues sa relasyon namin. After few weeks from that okay naman kami. Ang sweet namin sa isat isa until naisip ko na pumayag na sa gusto niya na wag na ko sumama pero I asked here how about sa mga susunod na invites na marereceive ko. Pero sabi niya, sumama na daw ako kasi iyun yung tama. Wag ko na daw kunsintihin pagtoxic niya. Ok naman kami somehow.
Current stage namin is we're testing the waters kung itutuloy pa namin relationship namin after all these issues. Sabi ko sa kanya okay lang sakin if ituloy or not. Maiintindihan ko. Mahal ko naman siya. At legal kami both sides nakoconsider ko din. We're generally happy naman it's just that these recurring issues at considering our future na lang din. Naninimbang din naman siya kung itutuloy pa ba given na baka magrelapse lang mga away namin which is parang di niya sure.

TL;DR Unresolved issues is taking a toll in our relationship. GF has toxic behaviours towards me spending time with friends. Can this be worked out? Is it worth it?

Here's where ugly things started. Before we celebrated our first year. I found out that she lied to me about being a virgin. She came from a long-term relationship so somehow inexpect ko naman na hindi. But I just found out na she lied to me about it at of course, being from a past relationship din na full of lies, na-off ako. Being lied to, parang ung memories namin became stale na hindi genuine at kasinungalingan lang. I felt so hurt. But napagusapan namin somehow napatawad ko naman siya agad. I almost told her na I wanted to break up but she begged for me. Lumuhod pa siya sa harap ko habang umiiyak. Ayon tinuloy lang namin at nagkapatawaran. Then, another away before our first anniversary. I got female friends sa new job ko. Batchmates ko sila so naging friends ko na din. Magkaaway kami one night then nalaman niya nakikipaglaro ako ng online games sa said female friends and accused me of cheating on her. Ayon. Basta then nabasa pa niya chat namin nung friend ko na yun where I told na galit na siya kakalaro ko. She felt upset dun. Although di ko naman intensyon and friends ko lang talaga mga yun. I almost had to cut of these friends para lang di na siya maparanoid. That's the end of our honeymoon stage ika nga nagkalamat na.
Just another background lang din. We both came from long term relationship with cheating partners. At meron din akong history ng cheating na alam niya which is naisip ko din baka maging factor for her to not like me pero di naman.
Then, 2nd-3rd year of relationship. I summarise ko na lang. (1) She started to be, i don't want to say "controlling" pero parang ganun. She gets upset when I spend time with my friends. Dumating sa part na tinanong ko siya na gusto ba niyang mawalan ako ng kaibigan. It's ugly. Ilang beses namin napagawayan. I always play online games with friends na halos matigil just because nagupset siya most of the time. Btw, she's introvert and on wfh kaya halos wala siya social life compared to me. (2) Mahilig siyang magsilent treatment na bigla na lang niya akong hindi papansinin buong araw or half of the day then manghuhula na lang ako why. Kumbaga parang I'm walking on egg shells na. Hindi naman ako manghuhula pero ayon. Parang kulang kami sa communication talaga. when I ask her why usually di sinasahot hanggang sa maging okay kami. Then the issue will be swept under the rug na lang. Nagaccumulate na lang yan hanggang sa andami na namin di nagpaguusapan. Pag okay naman kami masaya naman. We spend time together, we laugh together, my happy times kami marami. It's just that nagpile up yung unresolved issues.
Here's what happened recently. For a month yata yun, she stopped telling me "i love you" then ginaya ko na after a week. Although we talk na parang okay lahat pero wala nang iloveyou. We Still spend time, have sex ganyan. Turns out na andami niyang hinanakit na recently lang niya nilabas lahat. Eto yung unresolved issues na nga niya. I mentioned she's not good communicator kaya sa chat lang niya nasabi mga hinanakit niya. Gaya ng hindi na kami sweet, we don't talk about our future, yung mga pinagseselosan niya, dami. The way I act around her. Yung mga bagay na kung sana napagusapan namin nang maaga di sana naipon. Pero tao lang kasi ako. Hindi ko alam irereact. Parang main na trigger niya is hindi na ako kasing sweet ng dati. I told her na ever since our first fight before ng first anniversary namin and add pa yung mga naging issues namin sa ibang bagay nafed up na ako at nasanay sa ganito lang. Mahal ko siya eh. Pero parang nakakapagod siyang mahalin.
To add lang, nagkaroon ako ng condition that caused me to have long employment gaps so depressing kaya nakadagdag din siguro sa challenges namin. But okay naman she's still supported. At recenly nagkaroon na ulit ako ng maayus na trabaho. I'm happy and meet new people. Kaya lang recent issue namin, iniinvite ako sa outing at she said na di siya comfortable. Eto eh habang nagchat siya sakin ng lahat ng unresolved issues sa relasyon namin. After few weeks from that okay naman kami. Ang sweet namin sa isat isa until naisip ko na pumayag na sa gusto niya na wag na ko sumama pero I asked here how about sa mga susunod na invites na marereceive ko. Pero sabi niya, sumama na daw ako kasi iyun yung tama. Wag ko na daw kunsintihin pagtoxic niya. Ok naman kami somehow.
Current stage namin is we're testing the waters kung itutuloy pa namin relationship namin after all these issues. Sabi ko sa kanya okay lang sakin if ituloy or not. Maiintindihan ko. Mahal ko naman siya. At legal kami both sides nakoconsider ko din. We're generally happy naman it's just that these recurring issues at considering our future na lang din. Naninimbang din naman siya kung itutuloy pa ba given na baka magrelapse lang mga away namin which is parang di niya sure.

Going to be graduating by the end of the month and my closest and supportive best friend booked a ticket in advance to come see me graduate college. I was really looking forward to seeing her since most of my barkada resides in Davao and I haven't seen them in forever. She as well asked to stay over my place to save cost sa accomodation which I really didn't mind at all and of consulted my BF who I live with and he was fine with it too, he was only concerned for her due our 30kg dog thats about her height that lives inside our home.
Since I'm migrating soon pud, she somewhat convinced the whole group (3 people) to come to Cebu to see my graduate and hang out with me before I leave the country indefinitely. She was supposed to surprise me with them in the airport when I was only expecting her, yet caught her using "plurals" (Kami, namo, etc.) When talking about the upcoming trip and she admitted na she extended the 3 day stay to a full week with our closest friends. I was really excited and grateful for the thought of it yet was concerned about the costs sa ilang stay. I recently quit my job and bf cannot work, we are living on his emergency funds till we are able to get a clear on the papers abroad so we are trying to be frugal in a way where we are still able to live comfortably. Of course I had to run this pass my bf and he was happy to extend the invite to my friends and was just worried bout how we were going to fit them in our 1 spare bedroom (yes he is awesome lol)
By yesterday grabi ko anxiety while talking to her, this was a HUGE NEWS FOR ME. Wala jud sa ako plan to gasto for laag yet it made sense nlng pud kai it is a milestone for me too and may not see them again. I was anxious further talking bout the trip kai it seems like na pugos niya amo other friend na walai funds og ga duha2x og ari, and she specifically instructed me to not mention anything about the costs sa among tentative itinerary (laag) to my other friend kai for sure mu back out daw kuno. I really appreciate the gesture and I'm down to spend time with them yet I do not want to cover any extra expenses that may arise in case they fall short. I told her this and she took it the wrong way, She said "We’re going there not expecting for u to spend money on us", "We're working we can spend for ourselves", "We can afford this trip" mura siyag na lain like I'm belittling her ability to pay. I've been bag packing for 2 years and I know how tiny expenses like entrance fees can accumulate greatly especially in a span of a week, I was really deeply concerned kai she drop the figure of 10k to cover them 3 for 5 days of in Cebu so I just wanted to make sure she understands na mahal ang Cebu labaw na if gnahan sila mu laag2x, 10k is not enough for 3 pax in 5 days. So I made her an planed itinerary sa few places she mentioned and inserted things that we cannot miss too and its costing via spreadsheet down to details sa transport and expenses sa laag (wala pa labot ang food) para lang naa siya idea pila jud dapat nila e set aside (monetarily prepare) for the trip, this way it will give them a full month to save and re-evaluate kung mu dayun sila og tour2x or omit some to cut costs and be on an agreement to what is attainable.
Today, she surprisingly adds na naa daw lain guy na mu kuyog sa trip which she describes as "Uyab sa mama sa uyab ni (friend #2) hahaha nag laag lang ug Philippines na kedad ra nato" I was really shocked and reactive to this. I told her this was not cool and I was not comfortable with this. She added "He’ll pay for himself and actually help pay for ours too" and will be booking his own accommodation so I don't need to worry daw. Yet I am very worried, I don't know this guy and why do you need someone else to pay for your trip? So I think iyang perspective is if Kung daghan mi mas barato which is really not the case. Especially since I proposed to rent out a 5 seater car (she wanted to go to busay mountain tour) and upgrading that to a 7 seater will costs more to chip in. I really had a violent reaction to this and we argued over chat she ended up with:
"We’re going there only to see you and additional na na if we could spend time and enjoy going to places with u while ur here and one person is happy to cover the most cost for all of us in the trip, which will help them (friend 2 and friend 3) and of course will help u too kay problematic na kaayo ka sa spending If dili sad ka gusto we can still plan things out since we paman sad mi dira. If di ka, edi dili ka. Ana lang. ikaw man amo adtuan so we’ll respect what u want. Adto rami for ur grad and that’s it."
Feel nko na iyang idea for a trip to Cebu is to tambay along as long as naai ma tulgan ok na and e happy go lucky ra "or make it as it goes along the way" we'll be fine. Yet I am concerned to house 3 of them without income for any upcoming additional costs na she may not see comming.
I feel bad yet frankly I don't know how to make this okay for me, na suko pud siya, wala na siya ni reply I just responded with: To put it simpler, we simply cannot afford this right now especially when we are looking to move to a country that's very expensive we are both jobless and trying to stick to a budget. If the main reason why you're inviting a +1 is to help with your side of the expenses yet it will make ours more, it would be best to reconsider your trip. This is quite a pressure on our side too and I really hope you see that I am very concerned about the additional expenses that may occur that I would need to cover in case if your budget falls short. It's nothing against you, it's just being rational and practical.

She added "He’ll pay for himself and actually help pay for ours too" and will be booking his own accommodation so I don't need to worry daw. Yet I am very worried, I don't know this guy and why do you need someone else to pay for your trip? So I think iyang perspective is if Kung daghan mi mas barato which is really not the case. Especially since I proposed to rent out a 5 seater car (she wanted to go to busay mountain tour) and upgrading that to a 7 seater will costs more to chip in. I really had a violent reaction to this and we argued over chat she ended up with:
"We’re going there only to see you and additional na na if we could spend time and enjoy going to places with u while ur here and one person is happy to cover the most cost for all of us in the trip, which will help them (friend 2 and friend 3) and of course will help u too kay problematic na kaayo ka sa spending If dili sad ka gusto we can still plan things out since we paman sad mi dira. Feel nko na iyang idea for a trip to Cebu is to tambay along as long as naai ma tulgan ok na and e happy go lucky ra "or make it as it goes along the way" we'll be fine. Yet I am concerned to house 3 of them without income for any upcoming additional costs na she may not see comming.
I feel bad yet frankly I don't know how to make this okay for me, na suko pud siya, wala na siya ni reply I just responded with: To put it simpler, we simply cannot afford this right now especially when we are looking to move to a country that's very expensive we are both jobless and trying to stick to a budget. If the main reason why you're inviting a +1 is to help with your side of the expenses yet it will make ours more, it would be best to reconsider your trip. This is quite a pressure on our side too and I really hope you see that I am very concerned about the additional expenses that may occur that I would need to cover in case if your budget falls short. It's nothing against you, it's just being rational and practical.

Basta then nabasa pa niya chat namin nung friend ko na yun where I told na galit na siya kakalaro ko. She felt upset dun. Although di ko naman intensyon and friends ko lang talaga mga yun. I almost had to cut of these friends para lang di na siya maparanoid. That's the end of our honeymoon stage ika nga nagkalamat na.
Just another background lang din. We both came from long term relationship with cheating partners. At meron din akong history ng cheating na alam niya which is naisip ko din baka maging factor for her to not like me pero di naman.
Then, 2nd-3rd year of relationship. I summarise ko na lang. (1) She started to be, i don't want to say "controlling" pero parang ganun. She gets upset when I spend time with my friends. Dumating sa part na tinanong ko siya na gusto ba niyang mawalan ako ng kaibigan. It's ugly. Ilang beses namin napagawayan. I always play online games with friends na halos matigil just because nagupset siya most of the time. Btw, she's introvert and on wfh kaya halos wala siya social life compared to me. (2) Mahilig siyang magsilent treatment na bigla na lang niya akong hindi papansinin buong araw or half of the day then manghuhula na lang ako why. Kumbaga parang I'm walking on egg shells na. Hindi naman ako manghuhula pero ayon. Parang kulang kami sa communication talaga. when I ask her why usually di sinasahot hanggang sa maging okay kami. Then the issue will be swept under the rug na lang. Nagaccumulate na lang yan hanggang sa andami na namin di nagpaguusapan. Pag okay naman kami masaya naman. We spend time together, we laugh together, my happy times kami marami. It's just that nagpile up yung unresolved issues.
Here's what happened recently. For a month yata yun, she stopped telling me "i love you" then ginaya ko na after a week. Although we talk na parang okay lahat pero wala nang iloveyou. We Still spend time, have sex ganyan. Turns out na andami niyang hinanakit na recently lang niya nilabas lahat. Eto yung unresolved issues na nga niya. I mentioned she's not good communicator kaya sa chat lang niya nasabi mga hinanakit niya. Gaya ng hindi na kami sweet, we don't talk about our future, yung mga pinagseselosan niya, dami. The way I act around her. Yung mga bagay na kung sana napagusapan namin nang maaga di sana naipon. Pero tao lang kasi ako. Hindi ko alam irereact. Parang main na trigger niya is hindi na ako kasing sweet ng dati. I told her na ever since our first fight before ng first anniversary namin and add pa yung mga naging issues namin sa ibang bagay nafed up na ako at nasanay sa ganito lang. Mahal ko siya eh. Pero parang nakakapagod siyang mahalin.
To add lang, nagkaroon ako ng condition that caused me to have long employment gaps so depressing kaya nakadagdag din siguro sa challenges namin. But okay naman she's still supported. At recenly nagkaroon na ulit ako ng maayus na trabaho. I'm happy and meet new people. Kaya lang recent issue namin, iniinvite ako sa outing at she said na di siya comfortable. Eto eh habang nagchat siya sakin ng lahat ng unresolved issues sa relasyon namin. After few weeks from that okay naman kami. Ang sweet namin sa isat isa until naisip ko na pumayag na sa gusto niya na wag na ko sumama pero I asked here how about sa mga susunod na invites na marereceive ko. Pero sabi niya, sumama na daw ako kasi iyun yung tama. Wag ko na daw kunsintihin pagtoxic niya. Ok naman kami somehow.
Current stage namin is we're testing the waters kung itutuloy pa namin relationship namin after all these issues. Sabi ko sa kanya okay lang sakin if ituloy or not. Maiintindihan ko. Mahal ko naman siya. At legal kami both sides nakoconsider ko din. We're generally happy naman it's just that these recurring issues at considering our future na lang din. Naninimbang din naman siya kung itutuloy pa ba given na baka magrelapse lang mga away namin which is parang di niya sure.

I have 3 years of PA experience (audit and advisory at 2 diff firms), no CPA and am having trouble finding a job. My base pay in big 4 advisory as a senior was 100k (MCOL).
Is it realistic for me to find an industry job that pays around this much or should I bite the bullet and lower my salary expectations?
I know some friends in tech who were laid off 3-4+ months ago and they absolutely cannot find another job that matches their former salaries and it scares the living sh*t out of me, although to be fair they were probably more overpaid than me.

I met the absolute love of my life when I was 18 in high school. I would spend the next couple years dating and breaking up and getting back together.
I moved to florida after a breakup (again) and it only took four months for me to miss home. And miss her. (We’re gonna get to the work stuff just bare with me)
I come home from florida and basically decide to give everything I’ve got. I propose, get her pregnant, we get married, and live happily ever after.
For a minute. Then the weight of reality kicks in and I start stressing about jobs and my ability to provide.
I’ve worked a lot of types of jobs but basic. Lumber yards, warehouses, stores etc etc. the years go by and I start having these little midlife crisis moments.
I decide to risk everything and go to CDL school so I can make more money and have a skill. I then have some of the worst months days and years of my life being a truck driver. Almost every truck job made me want to lose my absolute shizzy and I feel like I’m screwed because you get used to good ish money and then you’re trapped doing that.
I start thinking it was all a terrible decision because I hate trucking and now I’m a huge failure because I so deeply dislike the lifestyle and in case you’ve never driven truck before, let me tell you it’s also one of the scariest things I’ve ever done in my life. At any moment, everything could go terribly wrong.
I fall into a depression, I start drinking almost daily, I lose interest in my partner because none of my needs were being met and I did my best to provide and ended up like, actually just being a shtty employee.
I say we should get a divorce. After a long time of me being depressed and not able to figure anything out and treating my wife like poo, she agrees. We agree to a peaceful separation. But have a lease agreement on the apartment. So we live together, separated, for about 6ish months. I move out.
About 6 months after all that, we’ve now been separated for over a year. Not legally divorced. She’s happy with someone new. I’ve slept with lots of tinder people (thank you lovely ladies!)
But now I’m about to lose my apartment because I can’t afford it, bills are stacking up. So I’m gonna sell everything, and live in my car while I try to figure out what f ing direction to go in life.
A part of me wants to be a life coach or personal trainer. (Bro imagine taking advice on anything from someone like me) or perhaps tattoo artist (I’m not good at art) but it’s caught my mind in the past and family members have cheered me on. I’m just so lost.
I’m not in my car yet, but probably this weekend I will be. I work as a temp in a warehouse. I got a dab pen (thc) and ripped that thing all day every day for a month and drinking white claws.
So here I am. 10 years gone. More lost than I’ve ever been. More confused than I’ve ever been, and lonelier than I’ve ever been. I miss the warmth of love.

I have a job that starts at 4am that only pays me 10$ USD. At first I wasn't complaining because I was only passing through this town and just needed a small bit of cash and all I do is sit at a desk until 10 when everyone else gets there. (basically my only job is opening the door and hiding in the break room) but last night I sent my boss a text saying I need the day and he told me to get a replacement. I asked in the group chat. No one answered. I figured he would do it since, you know, he's the boss but a co-worker called me saying he claims I pulled a no call/show. There was another situation where I needed to go home cuz I felt so unbelivable bad and sent him a text. He said he was on his way by it didn't get their till the end of my shift. I'm the first guy in months they found that shows up consistently without problems and I feel like they aren't giving me any respect for my personal life experically since I'm only getting 10$ h. I was thinking of getting a warehouse job anyways that pays 26 but I told my boss I wouldn't leave until the 18th of this month. I'm kinda pissed since I followed the proper channels and sent them a warning saying I wasnt going to be in but they still said I was a no call no show.

hi! i'm a 4th year college student taking up finance and i'm graduating in a few months. i'm essentially a freelancer because i have a sideline in the evening, working with one client for exactly one year now and i get paid on an hourly basis for a simple data entry job. i know there are a lot of finance opportunities out there, but honestly i have been dreading finding a job after college siguro kasi part impostor syndrome, feeling ko i'm not knowledgeable enough and confident in my chosen career field to get accepted for a full-time job in finance, but also cause i feel like working 8-5 onsite at a cubicle/desk job is just not for me. i'm the type to prefer wfh/hybrid/flexible jobs where i'm in charge of my time, tapos i can fulfill my dreams of travelling while working (and hopefully, working less hours in a few years' time) and i don't even mind putting the effort/hardwork don't get me wrong just cause i feel like the traditional work setup isn't for me. i know it's also really hard to climb up the ladder and mabagal ang mga pay increases/promotions kapag yung asa traditional office job. basically, i find the new "trend" of remote jobs/virtual assistant jobs very appealing.
i still consider myself as a complete beginner, wala pa talaga akong skills, i got the job through referral lang so i didn't really apply for it or send in a resume. i'm not expecting to be spoonfed, i'm willing to do the research, but i just had this sudden drive to focus on pursuing this path more than looking for a finance office job after college. i really want to start as early as now while i'm gradwaiting to train myself, get upskilled, and look for clients. i'm also considering asking my current client for more hours or after college, but i want to be like everyone else na nakakahanap ng maraming clients and everything, my interest is direct-to-client VA and international yung clients. obviously there's a lot of work to put in it but i wonder if anyone has anything to say about this !! like thoughts, etc. the current goal is to really make this my thing after college kasi for me, i don't wanna follow what traditionally everyone in the family has done after college, and really wanna pursue this new path as a "breakthrough" siguro.

I applied to police recruit opening in my city because cops make good money here and took the police test but failed the video section. I applied to labor unions but people say it’s hard to join unless you know someone or takes a really long time. I just need some guidance on a career path with a guarantee of pay. I work hard and just need a shot and I know I can be successful in anything I decide to do. I just need to do it quickly because I am 25 and feel like I’m running out of time. 2023.06.03 05:54 LeighSabio Promotion and new baby
So I work at a warehouse, and have a 5 month old baby. The maternity leave policy at my workplace is generous, so I've been on paid leave for 4 months, followed by a month of part-time work. Honestly, I never liked doing entry-level grunt work anywhere, not just warehouses...I've been in retail before and I've always been depressed doing a job that I felt like a trained monkey could do. However, work that used my degree or spoke to my interests never paid a living wage, so I decided that the way out was up. A little over a week ago, I was offered a promotion that I had been working towards for a couple years, but would have me moving from 20 hours a week day shifts to 44 hours a week night shifts.
Guys, I took it. Maybe that was crazy of me, given what was going on in my life, but I also felt like I would be crazy not to take the promotion. Because I've been wanting and working toward this for years, and could delay getting promoted for years to come if I didn't take it. And I feel like with kids, I ought to jump on any opportunity for career advancement because then I would have more money to support more kids in the future rather than having to worry for each future baby that I'm putting my career on hold and might run out of money.
So far, I'm cautiously optimistic. The work itself is eminently doable. The overwhelming part is that 4 days a week (my schedule is 4 day, 11 hour shifts) all I do is work, sleep, and feed my baby pretty much. The 3 day weekend to spend with my kid, and the ability to spend those weekend nights on "me time" while the baby sleeps in my lap have made up for it but I don't know how overwhelming it will get to be long-term.
Am I crazy? Did I make the right choice? I feel like it's too early to tell right now, but so far I am not regretting it.
