2023.06.03 13:03 Low_Plant7184 34F wants to meet a sincere friendship and a stable relationship here Friends

Hello everyone, I am Nana and I am 37 years old. I'm here looking for men over the age of 35 to be friends with.
I am someone who loves to travel, eat and read. I usually like to travel to different cities and try all kinds of fresh food. At the same time, I also like reading very much. It can not only broaden my horizons, but also bring me more new thinking.
Many of the friends around me are women, and I want to meet some male friends, chat, watch movies, go shopping, and share bits and pieces of life. If you also feel like me, like traveling, food and reading, welcome to contact me.
Looking forward to becoming friends with you!

2023.06.03 13:03 Aifas_ts Reddit’s brand of misogyny light™ is so exhausting

On the main page today there’s a video of a woman wearing makeup to a basketball game with her mates. The joke of the video is that although the makeup is very visible and out of place the men don’t notice it. The highest upvoted comments are like “dudes are here to play not to simp”. My man, she knows this. It would have made bad content if she just went in, got a compliment and called it quits, yes? She clearly recorded it expecting NO response, yes?
If you suggested to an average reddit user that their takes are misogynistic, they would abhor it. After all, they think Andrew Tate, the Incel community, and other blatantly anti-women movements are bad and cringe. They make fun of them on main! They downvote them in the comments!
Ok, then. Let’s not call it misogyny. Let’s call it Misogyny Light™. Here’s a few common symptoms:
And this shit tires me out. It seems like these Reddit Dudes are defined more by things they don’t believe in, than by things they do. Not liking Andrew Tate and Ron DeSantis doesn’t mean your views are not misogynistic. Not saying and doing horrible things things to women because it’s rude and not societally acceptable does not mean you respect them.
As long as you’re unwilling to face the reality that women are individual, fully realized, multifaceted human beings with their own rich internal lives, you are a part of the problem.

2005 - Trial Day 67
Michael goes to court with Katherine, Joe, Janet and LaToya.
Michael was greeted outside court by hundreds of chanting fans. He arrived with his parents and his famous siblings - Janet, LaToya, Jermaine, Tito and Randy. They waved to the fans chants of “Michael is Innocent!”
Defense attorneys completed their closing arguments, labeling the Arvizo family liars and con artists trying to pull “the biggest con of their careers”.
"They are trying to take advantage of Michael Jackson," said impassioned defense attorney Thomas Mesereau. "They are trying to profit from Michael Jackson. They think they have pulled it off. They are just waiting for one thing - your verdict."
"What they are trying to do to Michael Jackson is so harmful, so brutal, so devastating if you have any reasonable doubt about the double-talk, the lies, its over. You must acquit Michael Jackson," he told the 12 jurors.
Mesereau spoke about the American system of justice and said, "We have the best system in the world and ladies and gentlemen I'm begging you to honor the system. You must acquit him."
He accused prosecutors of trying to "dirty up Michael" because they lack the evidence to prove their case.
"The witnesses are preposterous, the perjury is everywhere," Mesereau declared. "None of it works. The only thing they've had is to throw dirt all over the place and hope it sticks."
He added: "If you look in your hearts do you believe Michael Jackson is evil in that way? Is it even possible? It really is not."
Mesereau then played excerpts from a video in which Jackson denies any sexual impropriety and said that he had “never been betrayed or deceived by children.”
The defense attorney conceded that Jackson had been lax with his money and had let the wrong people into his circle. But, he said, the singer was not the “monster” the prosecution were trying to depict and that he was not guilty of any crime.
Afterwards, prosecutor Ron Zonen delivered a brief rebuttal. He sought to answer the question of Jackson’s motivation for the crime asking, "Why would Mr. Jackson do it? Because he could This child was in love with him. This child would do anything he said."
Zonen reminded jurors of the past allegations made against Jackson saying that this was necessary in order to “see the total picture”. He claimed that Jackson was “in love” with his 1993 accuser and added that the current accuser is a “clone” of the boy in that case.
After both sides rested for the last time, Judge Rodney Melville ordered the eight women and four men on the jury to begin their deliberations. He gave them a 98-page book of instructions.
The Judge told Jackson that he could stay at Neverland during the proceedings but requested that the attorneys remain within 10 minutes of the courthouse in case the jurors had any questions.
These deliberations are the final stage of an ordeal that began 14 weeks ago. During this time the jury has heard testimony from over 130 witnesses.
A verdict was expected early next week.

Paul Gongaware
AEG cross
Putnam asked Gongaware if MJ was comfortable with all the show dates. "Yes, I went through all of the dates with him," Gongaware said. Bugzee, the tour manager, had a big calendar on the walls, Gongaware explained, saying they changed the dates of the shows four times. The jury was shown an email in which Gongaware worked with a staffer to create a calendar to show Jackson. He wanted colors changed. He wanted the calendar to be changed so that it reflected Jackson's show dates and off days differently. Gongaware email:
Figure it out so it looks like he's not working so much
As to the email, Putnam asked if he was trying to fool Michael:
"No, I was trying to make it clear, trying to get it just the way I wanted it," Gongaware responded.
After changing 4 show dates Gongaware said Michael was comfortable with it. He would do 8 shows in July, 10 in August, 9 in September. There would be no shows in October, November and December, resuming with 10 shows in January, 10 in February and three in March. No back-to-back shows. Gongaware said the O2 Arena had a previous commitment in Oct-Dec of 2009 and they could not have the concerts.

Putnam: "Was this a rigorous schedule?"
Gongaware: "No, not at all"
Gongaware recalled that on the HIStory tour they did 10-12 shows per month, from country to country, but this one would stay in London only. Gongaware said he wasn't concerned with Michael's age. "He seemed great to me," he said, and this was stationary show, didn't have to travel.
The reason Michael wanted to delay the 1st show was he wanted more time to rehearse in the O2 Arena where the show would take place.
He said Michael and Kenny Ortega would decide the rehearsal schedule. Gongaware explained Michael didn't have to attend rehearsals, since it was not part of his deal. He said they never require an artist to rehearse. "I didn't have any expectation," Gongaware said regarding Michael rehearsing. He said he's never seen a requirement for a musicial artist to rehearse & that during the HIStory tour, Michael didn't rehearse but nailed it. "When it was game time, he would show up," Gongaware explained. For instance, Gongaware cited an outdoor concert in Bangkok in high heat, humidity.
As to the email Gongaware wrote about calling Michael lazy, he said he used unfortunate choices of words, Michael didn't like to rehearse.
Talking about the elements of the show, Gongaware described what they wanted to do for the opening of the show. He said Michael would be dressed up in a LED suit, like a television, flashing on him brief movie about things that happened in history. Michael would be lowered down onto the stage. He called the LED suit a "Moon man" suit, but Ortega called it "Light man." Putnam showed a presentation of how the LED suit idea would work. Footage is not on This Is It documentary because it was early stages of prep. Gongaware said the 1st idea was to make Michael float from the audience, but they couldn't make it work. So they decided to lower him down onto the stage. Gongaware said the big screen on the back of the stage was 3D capable. The audience would be given glasses when they entered the show. The 3D songs would be Thriller, Earth Song and Smooth Criminal. "He wanted to do biggest, best show ever, live show," Gongaware said
Putnam showed email chain from Ortega to Gongaware asking to make a deal with choreographer Travis Payne. Answer from Gongaware:
This is not AEG money, it's Michael's money so it takes a lot of time to get approvals
Defendants were trying to establish a pattern that all the money spent was actually Michael's money, not AEG's, just like with Dr. Murray
At one point Gongaware said he learned from Michael about a doctor named Murray. "He came to me and said he wanted his personal doctor on the tour". Gongaware said he suggested to Michael to get a licensed doctor in London who would know the lay of the land, in case of need. "This is the machine, we have to take care of the machine. I want Conrad," Gongaware said Michael responded. I think what he meant was his brain could create it but his body had to deliver the show every night

Putnam: "Were you surprised he wanted to take his doctor on tour?"
Gongaware: "No"
Putnam: "Why not?"
Gongaware: "He had doctors before"
Gongaware said other artists take doctors as well, so he was not the only one and it didn't surprise him. Gongaware said he's been on tour before where an artist had chiropractors, but couldn't remember being in one with a doctor
Putnam: "Did you worry Michael might have a health issue?"
Gongaware: "No"
Putnam: "Why not?"
Gongaware: "He seemed fine to me, had a physical and passed"
Gongaware said the suggestion for a London doctor was due to the cost; paying a doctor full time was much more expensive than hiring a local doctor. Gongaware said Dr. Murray treated Michael for about three years before 2009. He knew the doctor was from Las Vegas but said he was in LA. Gongaware said he then called Dr. Murray to work out a deal. Gongaware testified he didn't have Michael's direct phone number, would go through Michael Amir Williams, his personal assistant, to reach him. Gongaware called Murray on behalf of Michael saying the singer wanted to take him to London. "What do you want to be paid for that," Gongaware asked. Gongaware said he thought Dr. Murray was expecting his call and was aware of the desire to take him on tour. "He said he would need $5 million," Gongaware recalled. "He said he has 4 clinics to close, would lay off people, needs $5 million for that." Asked by Putnam if Murray's price was reasonable: "It was ridiculous," Gongaware said about the amount asked. "It was a lot of money for something like that and Michael could not afford it." Gongaware said he responded that it wasn't going to work" He said this was the first time he spoke with Dr. Murray. After that, Gongaware said he told Michael Amir and Randy Phillips what the doctor had asked. He also told Frank DiLeo. Gongaware said a lot of people who wanted to work for MJ asked for huge sums of money, thinking he had a lot.
Putnam: "Would you be doing this if Michael had not asked you?"
Gongaware: "No"
Putnam: "Did you contemplate bringing a doctor on tour?"
Gongaware: "I didn't think he needed one, we didn't have one in History, he was fine"
"He was Michael's doctor, Michael wanted him. That was it," Gongaware said.

Putnam:" Did you think about checking the doctor?"
Gongaware: "No"
Putnam: "Why not?"
Gongaware: "He was Michael's doctor"
" I'm not going to tell Michael Jackson who his doctor should be," Gongaware explained. "It wasn't my place to say who his doctor was going to be," Gongaware said. "It was his decision."
Gongaware said he doesn't think a doctor's financial situation has anything to do with being an ethical doctor. Gongaware said it never crossed his mind to either do a background check on Dr. Murray or to suggest to anyone to do it. "I just expect doctors to be ethical, the financial side of their lives shouldn't have an impact on their medical decision," Gongaware opined.
Gongaware said he never did a background check on anyone he hired and had he done one on Dr. Murray, it would've been out of the ordinary.
He also said he never considered performing background checks on Jackson's makeup artist, a choreographer who worked one-on-one with the singer or Kenny Ortega, the tour's director. "I didn't see the need for it," he said.
Dr. Finkelstein, a friend of Gongaware, said a doctor should charge $10,000 a month for the tour work. But Dr. Finkelstein would've done it for free, since he was on the Dangerous tour before and had a lot of fun
The second call about Dr. Murray came from Michael Amir Williams saying they were going to need to get a deal done for the doctor. Gongaware said he heard Michael in the car saying "offer 150, offer 150." Gongaware understood that to be $150k/month. Gongaware called Dr. Murray, said he was authorized to offer him $150k a month. He said Dr. Murray responded that he couldn't do it for that. Gongaware told him the offer came directly from the artist and Dr. Murray responded: "I'll take it" Gongaware said Michael approved the amount of compensation. "Michael told me offer 150," Gongaware recalled. "And that's what I did." Gongaware inquired from Dr. Murray how he would get a license in London and the doctor told him not to worry about it. They talked about Dr. Murray's request for a house in London, and the doctor said he would need a three bedroom house. Gongaware recalled Dr. Murray saying he would probably need an assistant and some equipment, but no details were given at this point. After the call, Gongaware said he let Michael Amir Williams know what the result was in a May 6th email: Done at 150k per month, per MJ. He needs about 10 days to wind down his practice then he will be full time
Asked why he had negotiated with Murray, the AEG executive replied that he was "instructed to by Michael Jackson." Gongaware said there was no other reason for him to deal with the doctor. Marvin Putnam asked Gongaware why he didn't tell Jackson he couldn't take Murray on tour with him."Because he could if he wanted," Gongaware said.
Gongaware said he passed Dr. Murray on to Timm Wooley, never had any other conversation with Dr. Murray about him possibly going to London.
Putnam: "Do you have any understanding as to whether a contract with Dr. Murray was executed?"
Gongaware: "One never was"
Putnam: "Did AEG pay Dr. Murray any kind of money?"
Gongaware: "No"
Gongaware said Michael was ultimately responsible for his own health:
"I think everyone is responsible for their own health and well being. He was a grown man with the capability to make decisions regarding his health and medical care"
Putnam showed Gongaware a frame from the This Is It film in which Jackson's manager, Frank Dileo, was sitting in on dancer auditions. Dancers auditions took place at the Nokia Theater on April 13, 14 & 15. Michael attended the last day and made the final decision, Gongaware said. He said Ortega wanted to film the audition to use fresh footage on The cost for crew to shoot the audition was very high, so Gongaware bought a couple of cameras and used his own crew to shoot the rehearsals. He said he wasn't sure what he would use the video for, but thought the website would be a good platform.
Gongaware said during the period at Center Staging, Michael was good, engaging, didn't think there were any health issues or was using drugs
Gongaware said the media in the UK was going wild with gossip about Michael Jackson. "They just lie about things." The Sun claimed Michael had skin cancer on his chest. "It was sport over in London," Gongaware said about stories on tabloids. Gongaware testified about emails in which UK press agents working on This Is It sent him tabloid reports on Michael's health. Gongaware said he urged the press agents not to respond. He wanted Jackson's performance to speak for itself & silence skeptics.
Gongaware on 5/27/09:
The Kid is healthy and rehearsing every day. He was still there at dance rehearsals at 9pm last night when I left. Our redemption will be when he does his shows, that makes all of this build up so damn sweet. We don't have to sell tickets, so we can just sit back and prove them wrong by just doing it.
Gongaware said he was not concerned
"If there was something going on, if he had cancer, we would've heard about it."
Michael Jackson rehearsal venues:
  • Mar 28- Center Staging
  • May 27- Forum June 23 - Staples Center
  • July 13 - O2 Arena
Putnam also asked Gongaware about an incident Karen Faye testified about, that she heard him yelling at Michael's assistant one day. The incident occurred while This Is It rehearsals were happening at The Forum in LA. Faye claimed she heard Gongaware yelling about Jackson being late to a rehearsal and told his assistant to get him there. "Never, never happened," Gongaware said, shaking his head.
Putnam went through a chain of emails about tabloid reports in the UK regarding Michael. In one, it said Michael had asked AEG to reduce the number of shows by half. Gongaware said that such a discussion never happened. Gongaware testified he woke up to one gossip headline pretty much every day. His idea was simply to ignore the tabloids. "An amazing show would be the answer", Gongaware said
Gongaware on 6/5/09 in response to Sunday Mirror Query:
"We can only make this work, of course, if MJ puts on the best show of his life. I'm here to tell you that be will. I have seen it for myself. Last night he ran 9 songs with full band, singers and dancers. Sang every one, he was amazing, captivating, riveting. And he's just getting started. Taking it one step further. When people realize that bulls**t the press has been, they will be in receptive mood for the truth Hey look. No skin cancer. He's just a good dad, loving raising his kids. His art and his craft are paramount. A gentle, loving man who does care about people
"The shows were going to be spectacular," Gongaware said. Putnam showed a clip of Michael in front of a green screen with 11 dancers, who would become 11,000. Gongaware said Michael was great at this point
Regarding email Phillips sent Gongaware directing to remove Michael's "skeletal" scenes Gongaware said he didn't take anything out of the movie.
Putnam: "Did you remove anything from the movie?"
Gongaware: "No"
Putnam showed a clip from This Is It with the making of "Thriller 3D" and Jackson wearing red jacket.
Putnam: "Did you try to alter in anyway how Mr. Jackson looked, appeared?"
Gongaware: "No"
Gongaware said he didn't remember any of the footage been removed because of how Michael looked. "We just let the footage speak for itself"
The mini-movie of "Earth Song" a bulldozer would come out from a ramp in center stage.
Putnam: "A real bulldozer?"
Gongaware: "I wish, it would've been cheaper, but it would have crushed our ramps"
Gongaware said they had to build the bulldozer like a prop. It would appear at the end of the song on stage. "I think the live audience would be just captivated by it," Gongaware said about the little girl running after the last plant on Earth song.
End of the show would be 3D animation. An airplane taxis up, door opens, Michael entered the plane. The airplane door closes, Michael would actually take an elevator down and out of the building, but the plane would take off over the audience
Gongaware said he didn't know if anyone was responsible for Michael's nourishment. Tour would be demanding and exhausting
Gongaware said he met Dr. Murray once at MJ's Carolwood house and ran into him at The Forum during rehearsal. There was a meeting scheduled to discuss Michael's nutrition with Randy Phillips, Kenny Ortega, Dr. Murray, Michael, Gongaware and DiLeo.
Putnam: "Do you recall anyone in that meeting ever telling Dr. Murray how he should be treating Michael?"
Gongaware: "No"
Gongaware said he didn't have any medical training and wasn't qualified to tell Conrad Murray how to treat Jackson
Gongaware said neither Dr. Murray nor Michael talked about the treatment he was receiving. The meeting was about nutrition & vitamin therapy. Gongaware said he had no idea Dr. Murray was giving Michael Propofol and first heard of the anesthetic after Michael died. Gongaware said Dr. Murray was really engaged in the meeting, seemed like a very intelligent guy and wanted to take care of Michael very much. This was the first time Gongaware met with Dr. Murray. He said there were no signs of Michael being poorly treated by the doctor. "Michael was engaged in the meeting, attentive, seemed happy we were having this meeting," Gongaware opined. "He's a doctor, he'd know better than anybody how to treat his patient," Gongaware said about Dr. Murray.
As to Gongaware's email saying AEG, not Michael, paid Dr Murray he said he was mistaken. "We wouldn't pay his salary, we'd advance Michael's money". Gongaware said he didn't remember writing/receiving the email, but never denied he did it.
As to Michael being habitually late, Gongaware said the singer worked on his own schedule, did things his way
Gongaware said his understanding was that Michael hired a trainer of his choice, Louis (Lou) Ferrigno: "I made the deal with him (Ferrigno). He was supposed to be paid a certain amount of money per session" He didn't elaborate on fee, how many times he worked with Michael. Putnam showed an email from Travis Payne, he suggested a massage chair to be put in Michael's dressing room.
As to Bugzee's email saying MJ needed cheeseburgers, brats and beers, Gongaware said Bugzee was joking, Bugzee cared very much for Michael. Gongaware testified he didn't recall having any concern about Michael's health/using painkillers as of Monday 6/15/09, 10 days prior to his death
Gongaware was asked about several emails that have been shown before, including messages related to MJ missing rehearsal on June 19, 2009. The executive was on the East Coast for a family wedding, but responded to one message questioning why Murray wasn't at rehearsal. Gongaware email:
Take the doctor with you. Why wasn't he there last night?
He then explained his thinking to the jury. Gongaware:
If his patient is having a problem and he's sick, and he's his only patient, it seemed like he should be there
Gongaware said on 6/19/09, he was out of town. "This is the day Michael had chills at rehearsal and was apparently sick," Gongaware recalled. "If the meeting was going to be about what happened that night, the doctor should be there," Gongaware said.
Gongaware said he believed Michael wanted to go on tour. He said he doesn't remember anyone talking about pulling the plug on the shows.
Putnam: "Did anyone tell you at this point that Michael needed a drug addiction specialist?"
Gongaware: "No"
Putnam: "Did anyone tell you they were concerned with the care Dr. Murray was giving to Michael?"
Gongaware: "No"
Gongaware said that on 6/20/09 he did not think Michael's health was deteriorating.
With last questions of the day, Putnam asked Gongaware if he was concerned about Jackson's well-being. He said "Yes"

2023.06.03 12:59 _-_-_TabIthA_-_-_ 36 [F4M] #Pennsylvania - Seeking older nudist man who wants a loving and affectionate long-term relationship Possibly willing to relocate if I were to find a genuine connection with the right person

Hi there! So I'm 36 years old from Pennsylvania. I have always had a thing for much older men and don't even really know why exactly. Part of it might be that I've always been very mature for my age and tend to get along much better with people who are older than me. The idea of being in a committed long-term relationship with someone older just feels right and natural to me. I am somewhat of a traditional person and do want to be properly married at some point.
Like the title says, I am willing to relocate if I find a genuine connection with the right person, but I would strongly prefer to remain on this continent, so that means please only message me if you're in the United States or Canada.
I also don't want you to message me if you're into the whole dom/sub dynamic or daddy/daughter dynamic; I'm not interested in those dynamics at all. I'm just a traditional woman. I'm a very loving and affectionate person by nature and a strong believer in romantic love, and I just want to find my one-and-only who I can fall deeply in love with and devote myself to forever. I'm the type who sees human sexuality as a very deep and meaningful act of affection between two people who are in love, and I would rather make love than just have sex for the sake of sex. Looks aren't really important to me; I'm the type of person who bases romantic attraction on personality and chemistry more than anything else.
In the spring and summer, I regularly attend an all-ages family nudist camp that is near me. My mother raised me to be a social nudist, so I have been going there all my life. I'm not one of those nudists who is nude at home all the time; for me it's more of a social thing that I do at a family-oriented camp environment. I find the social cohesion in an environment like that creates friendships and bonds that are unlike any social dynamic that you would ever find in any other regular social situation. My own theory regarding this is that it triggers a dormant social-cohesion mechanism in the human psyche that we had way back in our early history when we were living in small communal tribes. Back then, it was probably more normal for people to be casually nude if they wanted to be during the warmer months because everybody knew everybody and nobody was a stranger, and I think that kind of thing would kind of solidify your bond with the tribe. That's just my theory anyways, but it makes a lot of sense because I'm friends with families at that camp and am much closer to them than I am with anybody outside of the camp.
But if you think that your lifestyle values align with mine, free to message me in chat, and we'll see what kind of chemistry we have! 😊

2023.06.03 12:56 Bal-84 Help decide on switching to consumer CPU

My current unraid server is rock solid and works well for my use case. However running dual Xeon x5690 cpus and GTX 1650 low profile for transcoding Plex isn't the best us power.
I have 2u Supermicro chassis with 12hdd bays and Supermicro X8DT3 motherboard with 96gb ddr3 ECC memory.
I want something that is equivalent or better on terms of cores. So atleast 12 cores but with intel igpu to handle no more than 4x 4k transcode on Plex.
Do I scrap what I have and start fresh or can I repurpose the chassis I have and the redundant psus?
What ever happens I need at least 12 hdd bays and space for the 2x ssds I am using. Dont mind changing form factor but main thing is also power consumption.
My current server use around 115 KW.h per month according to the smartlife plug I have it connected to.
My budget is around £1000 and doesn't have to be ready made or new. Happy to get used or refurbished. My current server was refurbished and from ebay for around £300 all I added was the hba in it mode and hdds which will move to new server.
I have a single win11 vm I use over rdp. Docker wise I have mix of normal arr containers, Plex with about 6 family members using it (most direct stream) unless it's a 4k movie.
What do I go with? Or what would you go with?

TWBS Previous Next
--- Hr3101m973S’s perspective---
---Tuesday, 31st of October, 2682 Terran Calendar---
---Southwestern Scotland---
I ride the speeder at an altitude of 307m over the rural landscape.
I have 158 other bodies making similar deliveries across Britain right now, as well as 29 in Ireland and 11 in Doggerland. Though, none of them have quite as spectacular a view as this one does so, for the moment, this is the body whose sensory feed I’m paying the most attention to.
I see a large herd of mammoths walking at the edge of the Galloway Forest.
Though it has a better view, the news I’m carrying with this body is just as grim as all the rest.
In hindsight, it’s probably a good thing that I was such a spendthrift with regard to my fleet of courier bodies… If I hadn’t been, if I’d selected abilities that let them do much more than deliver things, they may well have been requisitioned for military use… which, I suppose, they were anyway… but there’s a big difference between delivering notices on Earth and fighting on some distant planet!
Still, if sacrificing my replaceable bodies would save even a single irreplaceable life, I would definitely have done it.
The city comes into view.
Calling it a ‘city’ may be a little generous… it only has 2,507,963 inhabitants.
That may have been a respectable city in the 22nd Century but, for context, nearby Dumfries has 7,491,509 and Glasgow has 24,339,192!
Stranraer occupies a rare middleground between the historic hamlets that are allowed to exist in the countryside and the megalopoleis where around 98.32% of people on Earth live.
I land in the northern part of the town and step off my speeder.
I get some raised eyebrows as I walk from the landing pad to the residential home.
I don’t blame them!
Before the War, every single one of my courier bodies had a full suit of elastomer over their entire body, to make them seem more lifelike… Now, though, that’s considered a luxury and, so, this particular unit is walking around with its metal endoskeleton bare, bar its uniform.
The effect can be a little offputting… though, in truth, it may also have to do with the news they’ve inferred me to be delivering to some unlucky soul.
I cross the wall into the garden and begin walking up the steps, through the mosslawn shrouded by pinus sylvestris trees, to the house on top of the little hillock.
It takes me 12 seconds to reach the door from the gate… I can’t rush, I need to give this girl her due respect.
I rap on the door 3 times and hear the knocks echo through the cavernous hall behind.
A man opens the door.
I begin, speaking in the most popular local dialect of Lallans Scots that I know to be this man’s primary speech register “Greetings, Mr Baird. I don’t know if you remember me but…”
“I remember you! I’m organic, not daft! You’ve been here enough times already…” interrupts the residential care manager, his demeanour gruff and no-nonsense “…Come in, Hermes… You can wait in the kitchen while I go get her.”
I step into the building, passing below the lowest of 5 balcony walkways into an open space with a skylight ceiling, allowing in the natural light.
I let the man lead the way to a large kitchen.
He pulls out a chair for me.
“Thank you, Sir, but I believe I ought to remain standing to make this delivery.” I respond, politely.
“Suit yourself…” he shrugs before walking off, presumably to fetch the girl he knows I’m here for.
I wait several minutes before he reappears.
The girl he has in tow is the perfect match of the file photo (though a few years older). She is average height, 178cm, and has an average build. Her skin is pale, her eyes are emerald green and her hair is long, absurdly voluminous, curly and vividly red.
She looks to be in fine physical health and is making no pretence of illness or injury, though she is scowling at me.
The grey bearded man shuts the door, leaving me alone with the girl.
“Could you tell me your name, please?” I ask, already knowing.
“Esme Reid.” she answers, truculently.
“And your date of birth, Ms Reid?”
“31st of October, 2664. Come to give me a birthday present, have you(?)” she says, folding her arms, pursing her lips and looking away to the kitchen counter by the window.
“Thank you…” I say, reaching into my bag to withdraw a letter and a large holopad with a stylus attached.
I hold the letter out to her and say “This is your conscription notice, Ms Reid. Please sign receipt of it here.” indicating the holo.
Her eyes flick from the paper to the screen before she drily answers “I don’t suppose, if I don’t take that or don’t sign for it, that’d mean I couldn’t be drafted, would it(?!)”
I shake my head and respond “I’m afraid that no such loophole exists, Ms Reid… If you have a conscientious objection to fighting, you could request a nonmilitary national service. However, you would be asked to provide some proof of your conscientiousness and…”
“I’m no bleeding heart…” she says, snatching the letter from my hand, irritably “…I’ll sign for my bloody death warrant!” scrawling her name on the pad.
Without looking at the pad, I check the signature she provided against the one on file and find it a close enough match to proceed.
“Thank you, Ms Reid. Please report to your local recruitment office in Stranraer within 14 days for your physical and psychological fitness assessments. They’ll then interview you regarding your preferences for training and deployment and they’ll try to take those into account when assigning them.
Great(!) Maybe if I can convince my evaluator that I’m cracked enough in the head, I won’t get sent off to die like my mam and dad did(!)” she quips, sarcastically.
“I don’t think you’ll have much luck with that strategy, Ms Reid… Sol’s government have had quite the interest in weeding out malingerers these past few years… I would put the odds of success below 1%.” 0.75619902%, actually, but that’s too many decimals for most biologicals’ patience(!)
She frowns up at me and demands “I’m being such a brat about this… Why are you still being so friendly!?”
I laugh “Ms Reid, though I strongly encourage you not to express the same demeanour to your drill instructors as you are with me, you are far from the worst person I’ve delivered this news to in even the last half hour!… Right now, I’ve got a draftee in Leeds who’s explaining a hairbrained scheme involving unethically cloning a replacement to fight in his stead, I’ve got one in Bristol who’s trying to beat up my body but only really succeeding in hurting herself, I’ve got one in Edinburgh that’s run away in an attempt not to be served… by comparison, a bit of scowling and sarcasm is rather tame!”
“Huh!… Guess I’m not quite the bad girl Ms. Larch always told me I was, am I(!)”
“It seems you shall simply have to work harder(!) I believe there is a leather jacket emporium in Stranraer that still does business…”
She smiles and laughs for the first time that I’ve seen.
That’s the real reason I don’t get touchy about the attitudes expressed to me by draftees: It makes my job so much easier when I soften the blow with good manners and good humour.
As unfair as it is that so many choose to shoot the messenger, it’s understandable when you consider the messages I carry.
“Ms Reid…” I start, seriously but softly “…if you truly do not wish to fight, you know there are alternatives? You can discuss them with your recruitment officer but…”
“I got no special skills, Hermes… Nothing I can do that an AI couldn’t do faster and better… The Merchant Navy’s basically as dangerous as the Navy Navy, just less armed… the Humanitarian corps has a waiting list so long that the War’d be over (one way or another) long before they got to the point of considering me… I know where Im going… no use in fighting it…”
“Alright, Ms Reid… I wish you the best…” I say, turning to leave.
Mr Baird shows me out of the house.
Rather than walking back to the landingpad, to retrieve my bike, I walk the other way.
My bag is still heavy with conscription notices… it only makes sense to deliver all the ones in this town first…
---Oskar’s Perspective---
---Southern Doggerland---
The evening sun plays off of the calm waves of the North Sea.
It should be raining on a day like this…
This gorgeous weather is slapping me in the face and telling me to be happy, to be content…
I know the weather does not care for the happenings of people… I know that, if it rained everywhere and every day there was a funeral, the whole world would flood… I know this… and still… I hate this contrast between my grim, internal misery and the tranquil sun drenched beach where I stand, this autumn day… There’s barely even any snow on the grass…
When this War started, I was fourteen and had two loving parents…
My Father was too old to serve, at 51…
At 37, my mother was not
Yet, it’s not my mother’s funeral I am attending right now. That was two months ago.
No… the strongly built 55 year old man, dressed in a long white robe and clutching a Norse langsverð, despite having been a fishfarmer and not a warrior, is my father… Lars ‘Walker’ Taylor.
His eyes are closed and he lies within a wooden boat, around 80cm wide and 3m long.
This boat was never meant to touch the water… I bought it from a supplier in Bankland that specialises in funerary boats for Doggerland’s Forn Siðr community.
I already recited a poem… there’s nothing else for me to do until the singer begins.
I’m not listening to the Goði prattle on about Valhalla and Ragnarök… I’m just looking at my father’s face… oscillating between hating him for doing this to me and hating myself for doing this to him.
The sermon concludes and a blonde woman, like everyone else present, dressed in snow white funeral clothes, steps forward.
One of the three men behind her brings his bow to the three strings of his tagelharpa, another raises a flute carved out of a cow’s leg bone to his lips, the last begins banging out a slow beat on his drum.
The band would definitely be larger if so many of the Hof’s musicians hadn’t been called up to serve.
The men begin playing a mournful tune and the woman begins a wailing, melismatic melody, not in English, the first language of most here, not in my father’s native Frisian, not even in New Norse, the liturgical language of his faith…
She sings in a strain of Norwegian that was spoken centuries ago, when there were barely any Forn Siðr practitioners living.
mf♫ Eg songane søkte
Eg songane sende
Då den djupaste brunni
Gav meg dråpar så ramme
Av Valfaders pant♫mf
I have a final part to play in this ritual.
The Goði picks up the torch and lights it against a flaming brazier before beckoning to me.
I step forward from the small crowd.
In contrast to most, whose clothes are pristine white robes and tunics and such, I wear the same simple white suit that I wore two months ago.
I may be a nonbeliever but no one at my father’s Hof challenged the idea that I was the most fitting person to perform this last rite for him.
I take the torch from the man and walk to my father’s side.
I hesitate before I touch it to one of the mounds of high energy, smokeless fuel that surround his body… but only for a moment…
The flame quickly takes and, before the current verse of the song is even finished, the entire boat is engulfed in fire.
I toss the torch in and step back from the conflagration.
Minutes pass as I watch the inferno consume the entire pyre.
I barely notice the music stop.
I barely notice the crowd thinning as people leave.
I just watch as the man’s existence is wiped from the Earth.
“Have you thought about what you’re going to do now, brother?” asks a voice from beside me.
Without looking at the Pagan cleric, I dully answer “I have.”
“And, what is that… if I may ask?”
“My birthday’s in January… I’ll be drafted… but I don’t have to wait… I’m going to go to the recruitment office and request an early start to my training… by the time it’s done, I’ll be 18 and they’ll be legally able to deploy me.”
“I… see… that’s certainly… an option… Have you thought about…?”
“I haven’t, Tormund. This is what I’m doing.” I state, still looking at the blaze.
“I see… I wish you well then, Oskar…” Tormund says, sincerely.

2023.06.03 12:55 burnerily Why do I no longer feel attraction to girls?

I (16f) have been attracted to girls for as long as I can remember. I started identifying as bi up until 12 when I then started identifying as a lesbian. This lasted for four years where I now have developed an increasing attraction to men. But as I’ve developed this attraction, I’ve noticed that I can’t really find myself attracted to women anymore. Like I’ve liked girls, been in relationships with them, and at certain points in my life could only ever see me spending the rest of my life with a girl. But now all of a sudden I just don’t feel that attraction anymore. It’s weird because I never once saw myself having a desire to be with a man. But now I’m kind of in the opposite position. Im not saying I could never see myself liking a girl again but now it just feels like it’ll be a rarer occurrence. Am I no longer queer? Or is this just my sexuality fluctuating?

2023.06.03 12:54 Sea_Strawberry_4927 I'd like to ask a guy out for weeks now, but I am very afraid of rejection

I (f33) met this guy online via bumble about 2 months ago. When I startet to write to him I didn't expect much. It was only one month after I got my heart broken by someone else and he didn't have much on his profile yet. But I liked his face and his hobbies seemed to match mine, so I matched him.
Well he turned out to be a really nice guy. We quickly switched to discord and have very long voice-chat-sessions at least once a week and in most cases they are at least 4 hours long (once we even managed to talk 8 hours until 6 am). I find myself very attracted to him, as he is very intelligent, a very good listener who remembers a lot of details, he is a very understanding person and he is just very sweet. It's very comfortable to talk to him. I even think that I started to have some feelings for him. I think I really want to get to know him and a good thing is, that he for once doesn't live that far away (I am used to long distance relationships, but he only lives 20km away).
Thing is, I am thinking of asking him out for like 3 weeks now. But I just can't. I thought about asking in voice chat, but whenever I see an opportunity to ask him I can't get a word out and I chicken out. Now I think about just asking him with a text, but I am so nervous about it, that I end up crying.
My confidence and self-esteem got destroyed in my past relationships (especially my last one which was 2 years ago). I can laugh and smile a lot, but I have mental problems. My new psychiatrist said to me last week "you don't seem to be very cheerful" and gave me a diagnosis test for depression. I am afraid that he will find me offputting. I am afraid that it will be like the last time where I fell in love with someone which was only 3 months ago, where the other guy told me, that he thinks I am great but something is lacking and he can't catch feelings for me. I wouldn't know how to endure something like this for a second time. But I am also afraid of letting go of a chance. He might find someone else if I don't ask him.
I feel so numb over this whole situation. On the one hand I think if he wasn't interested at all, he wouldn't talk to me so much. On the other one, I don't think he is shy at all and I think he is a guy who would ask a woman out, so maybe I am already put away in his mind as "good online friendship" or something. But maybe he also is just considerate and takes into account that I said at the beginning that I need a few weeks before going on a date with someone. Maybe he is actually waiting for me to give him a sign or ask him out.
Sorry about this confusing post. I just needed to get this off my chest as I don't really have someone to talk about stuff like this. I am sure I am overthinking this too much and that I have to figure this out more quickly. Thanks for reading.

2023.06.03 12:53 res30stupid You and your immediate family get to go on Disney vacations for life at no expense and free spending money, but...

You get to go on free Disney vacations from now until the end of your natural lifespan, multiple times a year. Anything from going to the Disney parks to cruises to adventures, able to stay anywhere from the cheapest accomodation to the most expensive hotels at your own discretion; no worry about food cost as it will be covered/included in your "Bill" and you're also given a budget for souvenirs to take home.
On official records, you're also listed as a member of the Disney Vacation Club, so you'll have access to extra accomodation options, have some extra perks at the parks and be invited to special events and get-togethers with other DVC members. Plus, you'll have access to extra park hours, so you can go on the rides longer than possible.
And you're not the only one who will benefit. So long as they are one degree separated to you - a parent, sibling, spouse or child - they will also benefit from this same deal for the rest of their lives.
It will be considered an official compensation by the company to make up for the fact that several high-profile investors/board members deciding it would be fun to brutalise you for their own entertainment. You will be left with some lasting injuries such as a permanent limp and will need to undergo extensive treatment, with the company giving paying your medical bills and giving you the vacation time as a means of apologising.

2023.06.03 12:53 Kafufflez Wife is questioning but extremely depressed at the “hypothetical” of it not being real

Hey everyone, this is a bit of an interesting question I can only really ask this community so I hope you bear with me while I give you a bit of backstory. If you’re not interested I’ll leave a TL;DR at the bottom of the post.
I met my wife almost 5 years ago, and I had never, and have never met anyone so good. We got married almost a year after meeting. Because of how amazing she is I started studying her faith with her sister’s husband. I was raised Catholic but only by title, my family were non-practicing so we weren’t religious. Therefore I have no attachment to any ideology and I think I can see things without any emotion involved giving me biases.
I studied for 4 years, never got baptised but just recently I’ve realised that there’s pretty much no evidence for anything in the bible other than claims from “inspired” men and potential archeological evidence of their existence, which doesn’t prove God. Also modern science completely opposes biblical teachings. I’ve been quite vocal in bringing up my findings with her, and all the abhorrent stuff in the Old Testament she didn’t know about.
She said she’ll do research soon but I know she’s questioning things because she said my points are valid, she seems really down recently, and told me she has bad depression because of the talks we’ve been having making her question despite still believing.
I really don’t know what to do. I value the truth but I feel like I’m ruining my wife’s life. She’s happy with her faith and I told her I’d support her as long as she has it and go with her to every meeting; but the burning desire for her to know the actual truth is too great.
Am I terrible because I don’t want her to waste her life on a lie, despite knowing if she realised it’s all a lie it will destroy her? How do I console her when/if she realises it’s a lie? Am I doing the right thing? I can’t imagine what it’s like to believe you’re going to live forever and then find out it’s a lie, you’re mortal, and only have finite time on earth. My heart breaks for her.
TL;DR - I stopped believing, I’ve presented evidence to my wife and now she’s questioning, but she’s extremely depressed at the possibility that it might not be real. I feel like I’m ruining her life and I don’t know if what I’m doing is the right thing. I wasn’t raised a witness and have only been studying the last 4 years(not baptised) so it’s easier for me to dip out.
Thanks everyone!

2023.06.03 12:52 Mysterious_Bath P.U.R.E Booking - Booking Ilja Dragunov on the Main Roster - Part 3

Following the events of Elimination Chamber, Dragunov looks persistent on training for his big match against his leader at Wrestlemania for the coveted IC Championship. Following Dragunov's victory, Gunther gets a bit nervous due to Dragunov being one of two people to beat him in WWE. He tries to combat this by ensuring Dragunov isn't able to have matches but he is unsuccessful in doing this. Instead, he forces Dragunov to endure a Open Challenge Gauntlet Match to prove that he is a worthy challenger. Gunther also puts Dragunov's IC Championship opportunity on the line to give him that extra security leading to Wrestlemania. This forced stipulation does not bode well with Dragunov but he still goes ahead with this added torture because HE'S ILJA FUCKING DRAGUNOV!!
With Gunther observing from the outside, Dragunov stands in the ring, awaiting his first opponent who turns out to be Angel Garza. Garza is toyed about with for a few minutes before Dragunov hits him with the Torpedo Moscow to dispatch of the first competitor. Next to come out is Ashante Adonis, much to Gunther's displeasure. Dragunov makes Adonis his bitch, sending him back to catering with the Torpedo Moscow. This continues to happen as more and more jobbers come out just to be smacked out by Dragunov. This leads to Gunther just stopping the match and telling Dragunov he's proved nothing here, so instead, he'll have a 2v1 handicap match next week against Vinci and Kaiser.
The numbers disadvantage does take a toll on Dragunov heading into the start of the bout but he manages to recuperate and take on both men at once. Dragunov eventually lays his stablemates out, ending the match by choking the life out of Vinci with the same submission he beat Gunther with, all while staring a whole through Gunther who for the first time in his career looks to be at unease. As Gunther enters the ring, he and Dragunov butt heads as Dragunov asks him if thats enough, before exiting the ring.
Next week, Imperium bring Dragunov out as it appears Gunther has finally decided Dragunov is worthy challenger, but reveals he has one challenge left. Out of nowhere, Kaiser and Vinci jump Dragunov as Gunther looks down on him, calling him pathetic and saying he'll never be worthy to be a challenger for his title. Gunther then pushes his stablemates away, taking matters into his own hands as he starts choking out Dragunov. Dragunov eventually fades as Gunther hits him with the Last Symphony. Gunther doesn't think this is enough however, and calls for the steel steps in the ring. Kaiser brings them in the ring as Gunther picks Dragunov up on his shoulders and POWERBOMBS HIM ON THE STEPS!! Vinci and Kaiser drag Dragunov's lifeless body out of the ring as they begin tearing the announce table apart. Gunther joins them and puts the final nail in the coffin, POWERBOMBING HIM THROUGH THE TABLE!! Imperium begins backing away, looking proud at the carnage they've produced as Dragunov is stretchered out of the arena.
As the weeks close in, the chances of Dragunov getting his title match look slimmer and slimmer. That is until two weeks before Wrestlemania, during a Tag Team title match between Imperium and Alpha Academy, DRAGUNOV MADE HIS RETURN!!! He comes down to the ring as Vinci and Kaiser look in disbelief. Alpha Academy would begin distracting the referee as the champions come down to attack Dragunov, who lays out both of them. Dragunov would go on to hit Kaiser with a Torpedo Moscow before rolling him back in the ring, allowing Alpha Academy to steal the titles as Dragunov manages to rectify the first of his mistakes in Imperium.
The second mistake? Sticking by Gunther's side. On the RAW before Wrestlemania, Gunther and Dragunov come face to face on last time, and despite Gunther's best efforts over the past month and a bit, he still has to come face to face with his worst nightmare. Imperium walk out with him, clearly fucking pissed after last week's shenanigans but Gunther sends them to the back, insisting he wants to face his biggest demon on his own. Gunther tries getting into Dragunov's head, telling him he respects him after everything he's endured and understands why , but it doesn't work as Dragunov looks to get revenge, attacking Gunther as a form of revenge for last week. He hits him with a Torpedo Moscow as he vows to end Gunther's tyrancy over RAW.
Wrestlemania XL:
This is it. His big shot. Will Dragunov end Gunther's reign of terror, or will the tyrant reign supreme? Things don't look well for Dragunov in the beginning as he is manhandled by Gunther but after an unexpected slip-up from Gunther which Dragunov capitalises upon, he finds himself in the driver's seat, even hitting Gunther with a Torpedo Moscow but only getting a 2 count. Gunther would respond to this with his vicious chops before hitting that Powerbomb which gets a 2 as well. Gunther continues his assault, not letting Dragunov get a touch of offence in with the fear slipping through the cracks. This fear would turn into desperation as Gunther would hit a trifecta of Powerbombs for A 1 COUNT???!! Dragunov would come back to his feet right after this, clearly fired up as he knocks Gunther's head off with a brutal Lariat. This isn't enough as he hits the Torpedo Moscow as the reign looks set to be over BUT GUNTHER KICKS OUT AGAIN!! Dragunov then goes to the move which helped him beat Gunther 3 years prior, but Gunther scouts it and escapes before HITTING A BURNING LARIAT AND THE FINAL SYMPHONY!! 1..2..KICKOUT!!! DRAGUNOV IS NOT HUMAN!! Gunther's desperation picks up as he goes to the final resort, the Gojira Clutch. Dragunov evades it though and OUT OF NOWHERE HITS A TORPEDO MOSCOW!! He goes to the corner and signals for another, WHICH HE HITS!!! 1..2..3!! GUNTHER'S 667 DAY REIGN IS OVER!!!

2023.06.03 12:52 TeenageDarren Unpopular Opinion: Most Of Today’s LGBT Rights Victories Were To Due To (Mostly) White Gay Men Not Black Trans Women.

I said what I said!
Gay men were the forerunners of every single relevant gay rights legislation in this country. DADT, gay marriage, gay adoption. All of it was pioneered from start to finish by gay men. Most of the world’s famous gay rights organizations were founded by gay men.
America’s first gay rights organization was founded by Harry Hay.
Act UP was founded by Larry Kramer, Vito Russo & Didier Lestrade
GLSEN was founded by Kevin Jennings
GLAAD was founded Vito Russo.
Lambda Legal was founded by Bill Thom
HRC was founded by Steve Endean
GMHC was founded by Nathan Fain, Larry Kramer, Larry Mass, Paul Popham, Paul Rapoport, and Edmund White
The National LGBT Task Force was founded by Bruce Voeller
The NOH8 campaign was founded by Adam Bouska & Jeff Parshley
Nearly every relevant gay rights organization was founded by a gay man or a group of gay men while the others were founded by lesbians.
Every single milestone in gay rights legislation were lead by gay men and the lawyers, activists, volunteers on the frontline were also gay men.
And you know what’s REALLY unpopular to say?
Most of these guys were WHITE
In today’s progressive society, we measure the morality and value of a group by how oppressed and privileged they are. The more oppressed you are, the less privileged you are, the better of a person you are. White gay men are now at the bottom of the totem pole in the LGBT community because they are perceived as the least oppressed and most privileged. The most oppressed (I.e. black transgender people) are at the top of the totem pole because they are the most oppressed and thus they must have did all the work in LGBT activism while white gay men just enjoyed their white privileged lives at Fire Island (also founded by gay men) and did absolutely nothing to help.
It doesn’t even make SENSE. You know all those groups, organizations, LLCs, fundraisers, lawsuits, legal fees, petitions permits for parades that amounted to millions and millions of dollars in expenses?
Who paid for it?
Certainly not black transwomen. They were all BROKE. Most of them were either in the closet, street prostitutes, worked in retail or were in jail for prostitution/drugs.
Their collective money wouldn’t have been able to buy a car much less found a gay rights organization.
Nope the only ones who could afford it (due to institutional racism and sexism that stacked the odds in favor of white people) were white gay men.
If black transwomen or queer women did all the work, they must have paid for it all despite institutional racism/sexism preventing them from having any damn money much less owning property.
Erasing their contributions for progressive clout and retconning their accomplishments to fictional black trans women is incredibly disrespectful to past the gay men who lived and died fighting for future generations.
No we don’t ‘owe’ black transwomen or transgendered people period anything. They didn’t do anything worthy of mention or merit besides attend the marches and fundraisers that were organized , planned, and paid by white gay men.
I said what I said!

2023.06.03 12:51 ThrowRA-connect I (24 f) don’t know how to feel about exes (26 m) behavior.

Before we even started dating, my (now ex) boyfriend was sending nudes of himself to 2 men in exchange for money/work. He works in an industry (acting) that is very male dominated, mostly by gay men and was in a bad financial spot due to lack of jobs, which happened during the pandemic. During this time, he basically refused to get a job other than what was in the industry (probably 2 years of not really getting any jobs). His previous manager signed him when he was around 19. Im not sure if he was maybe blackmailed, groomed or manipulated into doing this to be put up for jobs/money. I’m not saying this to give my him the benefit of the doubt, but his old manager really is a bit psycho and creepy from what I have seen/heard from others as well, since he’s well known in the industry. When we started dating, he stopped talking and seeing his manager about 4 months into our relationship. This ultimately did not help his career. The whole time he was also talking to another guy (he never met in person) and doing the same in exchange for money. He eventually met him in person because this new guy was going to be his new manager. He got flown out. I didn’t realize that he was flirting with them as well. Is this considered cheating? If he maybe told me what he was doing, it might be different? Or at least ask if Im ok with him doing this for the sake of his career. When I initially had a weird feeling about it he denied it and would get defensive. I really felt like I was crazy for thinking he’d do that. He was always open about talking to them, but I didn’t know he was sending them explicit pictures or going along with their flirting. When I went through his phone and found out, he was very apologetic and stopped. He knew it was wrong, but he said it was not cheating because his intentions were work related. Im not sure what to think. I’m really not sure if when he first made his break into the acting world if his old manager made him do this and he felt like this was the only or best way to advance due to past experience. He said these men don’t actually think they’re in a relationship with him even if they want to be, and that they know it’s “just business.” I feel like I can’t tell anyone, so I need advice. I know that if this was a girl he was doing this with it would be cheating, even if it was solely for money or jobs. But since he is not interested in men and was doing this to get jobs/advance in his career, I don’t know how to feel. To add to all of this, I don’t know if he ever had done anything physical either. He said he never has, even before meeting me. If he did do anything physical before meeting me, it’s honestly in the past, although I don’t think he should be in this kind of contact with anyone who he had a physical connection with. However, his old manager basically tried to scare him into thinking he had monkey pox over the summer when there was an outbreak. My ex got so upset, was crying and went to the doctor and everything. I didn’t know of any of this at the time, but it did raise some red flags. If they weren’t doing anything physical, the chances of getting monkey pox were probably pretty low. Then again, it was new and I guess even know no one really knows how it is transmitted. Some sources said it can only be transmitted through sex, while others said it can be transmitted through sheets or anything like that. It’s just the fact that his old manager tried to convince him that he had it and passed it on to him after they saw each other is what made me suspicious.
Anyway, some advice would really help. My mind is just going in so many places and I guess it’s not so black and white, so it’s hard for me to see if my feelings are valid here..
