Team Traitor List of Mods
(For the sake of streamlining the availability of our mods and because Reddit doesn't like Mediafire links, we've created a Google document that has all of our mods. Just look under the "World in Motion" section for this one)

So this was a short mod we had in the pipeline for a bit. I never really advertised it or anything, but here is the full release of Happy Birthday Akane!, a short mod kind of made in the same vein as Doki Doki Carpe Diem. Although I'll say right now that this one is written better and hopefully won't get as much hate as that one did...
Anyway, this story revolves around Akane, the OC girl I unveiled sometime last year, and it serves as a sort of introduction to her character and as a sort of unofficial teaser for a full Akane romance-driven mod should I ever decide to write one. Akane is excited it's her birthday, but things don't go as well as she hoped they would once she arrives at school.
So like Carpe Diem, the mod is short and in line with kinetic visual novels, meaning there is only one path with no choices whatsoever. There is, however, something of a secret easter egg if you so happen to play the game on November 15th.
Akane is planned to appear in a few more mods we have planned and even has a starring role in a couple of them as of right now. So this is just the beginning of her time to shine in our mods. And as I stated in her unveiling post, she will remain exclusive to our mods. In other words, do not ask if I will release her sprites for free usage. If you do, I will flat-out deny you.
Aside from being my unofficial Youtube channel mascot, Akane serves another purpose. Akane is made as a partial tribute to a girl that was special in my life named Darlene. I met her in 2014 in my college days. I always saw her as this beautiful girl, way too out of my league to even look at me, let alone talk to me. Essentially, she was sort of like the Monika to my MC. And yet she ended up becoming one of my best friends. She was one of the most fun people to talk to and be around, although she wasn't without her flaws. We had a nasty falling out in 2020. And I later found out she passed away in April of 2022. I never confessed my feelings to her, so she never knew how I felt toward her. Akane has some of the qualities of Darlene that made me enjoy being around her so much, with just a mix of some of my own. Akane is important to me for that reason and that is why she remains exclusive only to mods made by me and my team. So, I will once again ask that you respect my opinion and not badger me for refusing to release her.
Anyway, I hope you can enjoy the mod and I hope you enjoy more of what's to come from the Perfect World Anthology and the World in Motion Anthology.

There is little debate that the U.S. housing market is cooling down after home values rose at a frenzied pace during the pandemic. For the first time in 131 months, home prices fell year-over-year in February, ending the longest price growth streak.
The median existing-home sales price in April slipped 1.7% from one year ago to $388,800.
Meanwhile, elevated mortgage rates − which have doubled since early last year − have constrained homebuyers’ purchasing power. Instability in the banking sector, headlines about layoffs, and growing recession risks are also causing prospective homebuyers to hold back. So, does this mean a housing crash could be on the horizon? Housing experts don’t believe that to be the case.
“Despite uncertainty in the economy and the housing market right now, there is little to suggest that the housing market is poised for a crash,” says Bright MLS Chief Economist Lisa Sturtevant. “For a plunge in home prices—like we saw in 2008, for example—we would need demand to pull back dramatically and/or supply to increase significantly.”
While housing prices have dropped slightly year-over-year since February, a lack of inventory and a strong jobs market have contributed to stubbornly high home prices despite much higher mortgage rates.
"The housing market cannot compare to last year’s intense spring home buying market,” says Jessica Lautz, NAR deputy chief economist and vice president of research. “However, there is strong demand for housing. In the last month one-third of homes sold above the listed price and the typical home received three offers."
Properties typically remained on the market for 22 days in April, down from 29 days in March but up from 17 days in April 2022. Seventy-three percent of homes sold in April were on the market for less than a month, according to NAR.
Inventory in the first quarter averaged 1,630,000 listings at any given time, down 40% from the first quarter of 2019, a year before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the National Association of Realtors.
There has been limited supply as 85% of mortgage holders are locked in to sub-5% mortgage interest rates, which discourages current homeowners from selling their home and buying another at today’s elevated interest rates.
Total housing inventory registered at the end of April was 1.04 million units, up 7% from March and 1% from one year ago (1.03 million). Unsold inventory sits at a 2.9 month supply at the current sales pace, up from 2.6 months in March and 2.2 months in April 2022, according to the National Association of Realtors.
If there were significant job losses, we could see an increase in the number of people unable to make their mortgage payments and who would therefore have to list their homes for sale, says Sturtevant. “However, right now, even if we do head into a recession later this year, the labor market is still extremely tight and major job losses still seem unlikely,” Sturtevant says.
Builder confidence in the market for newly built single-family homes in May rose five points to 50, according to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index (HMI) released in May. This marks the fifth straight month that builder confidence has increased and is the first time that sentiment levels have reached the midpoint mark of 50 since July 2022. Scores over 50 indicate that builders view market conditions as “good” rather than “fair” or “poor.” The inventory of new houses for sale at the end of April stood at 433,000, which represents a supply of 7.6 months at the current sales rate.

Let me preface this by saying i'm 14. I've been diagnosed by a professional with schizophrenia since I was 9. The past few years my delusions and hallucinations have slowly gotten worse. it's something only a few people know.
i am a kid, even though my body's all grown up. i know full well no one here will understand me, or what it's like to be me, but i still wonna try.
it hurts, you see, to have a body that doesn't fit who you are.
this isn't how my life is supposed to be. none of it. i should have loving, caring parents who take care of me. i should be in elementary school, learning from teachers and having friends to play with and going to playdates and having birthday and christmas presents and toys and everything. the biggest worry of my life should be whether or not i've done my homework, or if my parents will be upset if i forgot to brush my teeth one night.
i have none of that. my family doesn't know about me, because they would never understand. i'm already a disappointment to them, and they had a hard enough time understanding that i'm transgender. they would never believe nor understand me if i told them i was still just a little girl who didn't know what to do and needed their help.
i currently have a roommate who understands my condition/identity and tries his best to care for me, but he isn't really capable of providing the level of care i need, and our apartment lease ends soon. i also need to leave the country i'm in in a few months, my family lives in a country i can't stay long term in, and the country i have citizenship for is wildly anti-trans and i have no one who could help me there.
i don't have money, but i can't work. i don't think i am able to. i struggle to even take basic care of myself, how could i ever hold down a job, especially when i have cripplingly bad social anxiety, can't talk to anyone on the phone, can't go outside on my own because of paranoia and fear, can't talk to strangers irl? what can i possibly do? i don't have the mental energy or attention span to do any online work either, and even attempting to find something i can do sends me into a depressive spiral that ends with me just laying in bed unable to do anything.
but, that's just the normal mundane stuff.
how about the fact that i am almost completely alone in this? there are very few people who are like me, a kid trapped in a body too big for them. the loneliness is the worst part - i can never make any friends, or be my true self around anyone, because nobody understands me. nobody understands when i say i am a kid. no matter how i try to explain it, they just don't get it.
people hate what they don't understand.
i want to die. i am a kid who wants to die. i don't want to get old. i'm so scared i will never find a family or caregivers and friends who'd love and accept me as a kid, before i'm so old and aged that the dysphoria is too much to bear. at least i still look young now, but that won't last. i am on a time limit, before any chance of happiness in this life is gone forever.
there's nothing i can do about it.
people say "it gets better", not in my case. every day i get worse. every day brings me closer to old age and further from my true self. no matter what, i will never look the way i want to look. i will never have a body that matches who i am.
barely anyone can comprehend and accept i'm a kid when i still look like a teenager. what hope do i have when i look old?
i don't belong in this world, it was not made with kids like me in mind. i have no place here, and i am a burden to anyone who tries to help me, because i can't do anything in return. this world expects too much of me.
there is no point in sticking around when there is no solution to my situation. no transition, no empathy, no understanding or kindness or acceptance - nothing.
i'm not able to kill myself yet, which is why i'm even posting here. i don't want meaningless platitudes or "help" from those who don't care to understand. i don't want halfhearted well wishes. i want someone willing to understand me, acknowledge the pain i'm in, and accept me as a child, even when the world refuses to. if even a single stranger could find it in their heart to accept me...and maybe be a parent figure for me, for a little while...
i just want to stop feeling alone, even for a second. please.
