Holiday nail designs for all occasions
Holiday parties, dinners, and other get-togethers with family, friends, and coworkers present several occasions to dress up. Like us, I'm sure you've been looking forward to this time of year. The holidays also give us a perfect occasion to wear colorful and vibrant nail art that is appropriate for the season, in addition to celebrations, seasonal foods, and yes, gifts. After all, why not accessorize your nails if you're dressing up from head to toe in wholesale nail vendors a festive look? This is one of the many ways we can all show our festive spirit because we all celebrate the holidays in different ways.

1. Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star Press-On Nail Set

We are aware that dark greens and deep reds, rather than pastel hues, are the colors most commonly associated with the holiday season. However, there is nothing wrong with experimenting, and we believe pastels are appropriate for use in winter as well. A surprising color scheme is created by the nude, pink, and purple pastels because of how effectively they contrast with one another. The little glittering stars that cover each manicure are what distinguish this collection as festive nails. The Star of Bethlehem, which is frequently connected with the Christmas season, glittering holiday lights, or even the actual stars we can see more clearly at night now that it becomes darker earlier—these are all possible representations of them.

2. Red Press-On Nail Set in Rad

Since red is the color most closely associated with the holiday season, we had to include one of our favorite sets of festive red nails on this list. This eye-catching shade will add a spark to any ensemble, but that isn't the only way this set might make your nails stand out. A golden, glittering, and shimmering manicure is also included in this collection, which creates a stunning festive color combination and is guaranteed to draw admiring glances.

3. Press-on nail set in unicorn chrome

One of the things that makes the holiday season so magical is snow, and many people want for blankets of the white stuff to cover their cities and neighborhoods during this time of year — after all, "White Christmas" is a song about it. Even if you're not a huge fan of snow, you can't deny that this pair of holiday press on nails perfectly captures that glitter of a freshly fallen sheet of snow when the sun hits it at exactly the right angle. If you're attending a party with a white-out theme, this set is essential for adding a little sparkle to your holiday celebrations.

4. Press-on nail set with a flamingo curve

This set is a fantastic choice for the holiday season if you're searching for a basic aesthetic that isn't dull. The pink and white stripes prevent the nail from seeming too drab despite the neutral base's ability to give it a fairly subtle appearance. Our opinion is that they have a vague resemblance to the stripes on a candy cane or the flowing ribbons used to wrap presents. The pink color is also a distinctive departure from what would traditionally be a shade of red.

5. Press-on nail set, Coffin Solid

With this package, you have many nail design options for the current season. To give your nails a pop of color and match the outfits you have planned, choose from a number of additional colors in addition to traditional holiday hues like white, blood red, and burgundy. They're fantastic for when you just want a plain appearance and also work well as supplies for nail tech a base if you want to create your own unique holiday-themed nails with paint, gems, glitter, and other embellishments. They are still important to us throughout this Christmas season.

lilac, baby blue, rose pink, burgundy, mint green look the best on me. i cant wear black or white unless it has an interesting design or lace or something. but just a plain black dress looks so bad on me. my skin tone is olive with neutral undertones

2023.06.01 23:20 Mediocre_Ad6061 SIL in bridal party

To start off I'd like to say, she means well and shes nice. Shes just not my cup of tea. Months, ago when we were doing our wedding party we were uneven. Which my fiance and I were fine with. We would just have a extra groomsman with a bridesmaid. Then, one night of planning his mom mentioned that we should just have his sister be a bridesmaid. We told her that we would just keep it uneven. She seemed to be okay with it, (it is out wedding). Then about a month ago, my fiance asked me one night why I didnt want his sister to be in my bridal party. Main reason, I am not close with her, we dont have much in common. He started to go on about "tradition" and this n that. I starting crying from being so frustrated and I knew it wasnt him talking and it was his mother. The next day I got so upset that I just invited her into my bridal party out of guilt and just didnt want to deal with it and just to drop the subject. She does live far away - and will literally only be there for the pictures and will be the last in my line. A few of my bridesmaids know that background of her and they arent happy I caved, which I get it. But people bring it up to me often. Shes trying to change things in my bridal dresses I had picked out. Doesnt like the shoe color I wanted. (which is black....) Dresses are burgundy. I feel like I cant go back on me asking her to be a bridesmaid but its a weekly to daily thought I have that I regret it. I dont even know why I am writing on here, but I feel like I cant talk about it to many people as I dont want to hear; " I told you so.." or "its not that big of a deal". This is just me whining and completely stressed out.

2023.06.01 10:02 ThatSansWitch My roommate stole my things and gave my dogs mange.

This situation is a few months old at this point, but I'm still quite upset about it and tonight it's really bugging me, and this seems like a good place to vent. Apologies if this is set up weird, I've never really used reddit before, and this is a very complicated situation.
I (f19) had a roommate (f27) for awhile, let's call her B. We met B through a mutual friend (he's a whole other story) and at the time she was homeless. I live with my mom, and we're both disabled, and she was helping out with some house work that we couldn't do. My mom offered to let her stay with us, rent free, if she helped out with the housework we couldn't do, and she agreed. She also was on our food stamps, so we bought her food and toiletries as part of our deal.
I really liked B. She didn't treat me like a kid, she was cool and hung out with me, we got along really well. She had this old pit bull that I adored, and we gave her one of the puppies from the litter we had just had. All in all, things were good for the first month or so.
Now, there were some things that happened. They all started at the same time, but I'm going to break them down separately.
The first one was with food. She was, of course, free to eat whatever she wanted, we also bought her food specific for her, that's all fine and good. But I had some food that we bought specifically for me, that was off limits. That was the only rule with food, that those items were mine and she wasn't supposed to eat them. This was because I was in recovery from an eating disorder, along with having stomach problems and the inability to stand and cook, so I had some easy to prepare, calorie dense foods that I liked, like yogurt, granola bars, little mac and cheese cups, things like that, along with a meal replacement drink. It was imperative that I had these foods, so I didn't slip back into a disordered mindset and relapse.
Well, I started noticing that the safe foods were going missing. Nothing too drastic, a Mac and cheese here, a yogurt there, the last belvita pack. We had other people in the house too, so I figured it was just a slip up or I had eaten it and forgotten. One morning I went into the kitchen and noticed that my last yogurt was out on the counter, opened with one bite taken out of, and full of ants. B was in the kitchen, so I asked her if she knew anything about it. She said she was going to eat it the night before and forgot about it. I told her it was okay, I explained to her again that some foods were off limits, and that if she really wanted them to please ask me first. But it kept happening, she would take the safe foods whenever she wanted, and it got to the point where she was eating more of them than I was.
Okay, food is just food. Is it frustrating? Yeah, but it's not the end of the world. We started buying extra so she would also have some and I would still be able to eat, but I think that just encouraged her because it got worse and it did end in me relapsing.
Then there was the soap problem. I was running out of products way faster than I should have been, my body wash and hair care, an expensive sugar scrub that I had saved up for, skin care, make up too. Hell, even my deodorant and razors were going missing. Eventually I asked B about it, and she confirmed that she was using my stuff. I asked her to please stop, and she said "I can't help it, I just like smelling like you". After that I stopped keeping my stuff in the bathroom, and instead kept it all in a bag hidden away. This was also a problem with period products, I would never have any by the time my period started and I had to hide those too. At this time, as I said, we were buying her hygiene products so I don't really know why she was using mine.
Then there was the clothes. We were the same size and I enjoy sharing clothes with people, fashion and my personal style is something I'm really passionate about and I'm more than happy to lend clothes to friends, B included. Now, naturally, when someone borrows something, there's an expectation that you will get your thing back, right? I thought so. But, after awhile, B started doing this thing. She would borrow something, a few days later I would ask for it back, she would say she never took it or already gave it back, and then, like a week later, she'd be wearing it but the clothing was modified. Like, she took a pair of tights and put holes in them, took a shirt and turned it into a crop top, turned a pair of jeans into shorts, and completely cut up one of my favorite dresses. Eventually I asked her to stop borrowing my clothes, so instead she just stopped asking and stole them. In the items she stole, was a hand made coat that my grandmothers made. It was an entirely unique piece that they made the pattern for, custom fit for me in my favorite color, a beautiful burgundy, every time I wore it people would comment on it and it was the one piece that everyone wanted. I loved that coat and it was quite sentimental too, as one of my grandmothers who made it is now dead. And B stole it.
There were other, smaller things too, like certain events that happened. On my nineteenth birthday she made advances towards me (I have a girlfriend that she knew about and had met), she asked me strange things about the sexual abuse I had gone through by my father, just weird things like that. I never said anything, because I didn't want to sound rude, or misconstrued the situation, and I ended up just ignoring it when it happened.
Eventually, we asked her to leave. She had stopped holding up her end of our deal, she was stealing from our other roommates as well, and she had gotten pulled over and arrested in our car, after having been caught with meth, and ended up getting mom in trouble as well. We knew she had somewhere safe to go, she had a boyfriend at the time who has a house and discussions before hand assured us that he would let her stay.
She left her space a total mess, and left the puppy we had given her upstairs without informing us. We had let her stay for a couple nights after all of this, when she had broken up with her boyfriend and no longer had a place to stay, and it had gotten cold. In return, while we were gone, she broke in and stole quite a few things, thankfully we didn't have anything of value that couldn't be replaced.
Now, I mentioned in the title she gave my dogs mange. After she left the puppy upstairs, we had to take him in. He was aggressive to both people and the other dogs, attacking them and us to the point of injury. On top of that, he was covered in fleas and ended up causing an infestation (we had three dogs under the age of six months, meaning we couldn't treat them for fleas with medication or medicated soap). We ended up finding someone who could take him, and we have been trying to get rid of the fleas ever since. Well, within the last two weeks, we have noticed our dogs have been losing hair and have skin issues. At first we thought it was from the fleas, but as it got worse, we took them to the vet.
It was mange. The only dogs they could have gotten it from was B's dogs. She had mentioned the pit bull had it in the past.
It's been an expensive and exhausting fight, I have two dogs and a cat and my mom has three dogs, they all have it and it's a pain to treat.
I think I'm just tired now. The anger I had originally felt is now just exhaustion. B was, like I said, a friend. It was a betrayal that I should have seen coming, but rose tinted glasses and all that, and it was a betrayal that still hurt. I don't know what I could have done to change it. I've tried reaching out to her, apologizing, and trying to see if maybe I could get some of my things back. She's ghosted me or outright blocked me, and at this point I just give up.
So that was my roommate from hell. I guess, B, if you're reading this, I'm sorry things ended the way they did. You can keep everything you took, but I would really appreciate having my coat back, I would even pay you for it at this point.
Thanks for listening, and if I could have done anything differently in your opinion, please let me know

2023.05.31 23:37 Impossible_Owl1213 Which dress would be best?

Wedding at a country club in Las Vegas in October - wedding website says "Attire: Festive, Formal, Black Tie Optional "
I'm excited for the excuse to dress up, but don't want to be too formal! The bridesmaids will be in pink. No idea what the bride's dress will be like, but she is someone who tends to take fashion risks. The groom and groomsmen (including my husband) will be in tuxes with colored jackets (not sure which color). I posted a dress I really liked yesterday, but most people thought it wasn't formal enough despite the floor length and metallic threads.

2023.05.31 22:38 AlternativeDurian852 WIBTA to kick one of my bridesmaids out of my wedding party if she keeps refusing to wear the color I picked?

I’m getting married in 3 months and the main color is burgundy. My fiancé and I told everyone that we’ll be paying for the dresses and alterations for the entire wedding party. I want the dresses to match in color, and I’m more than happy to pay for them to ensure that happens. I have two MoHs: Bella and Lora. Everyone is wearing burgundy, but the MoH’s will have a sash to set them apart. Bella, the rest of my bridesmaids, and I went together to buy their dresses, Lora backed out at 10p the night before the appointment. Some of the girls had taken a day off work to be there, canceling for one person didn’t seem fair to everyone else, so I didn’t. (We’d already canceled once before because Lora couldn’t make it last minute) Lora now wants to wear a dress that she already has that doesn’t match in color at all. Everyone else will be wearing dark red and the dress Lora is insistent on is bright red. It really bothers me, and this exact thing is one of the reasons I wanted to pay for the dresses in the first place. I have tried to get her to go with me for another appointment to get hers, but she keeps backing out, she’s insisting on wearing this dress… WIBTA if I tell Lora that unless she wears the color I want her in (that I will pay for!) that she can’t be in the wedding party anymore? EDIT: I only require the color, they each got to pick the style of their own dress. EDIT: I don’t care about they choose to do for hair and makeup, I don’t care about accessories so long as their silver, no requirements on shoes either. Just no tiaras lol Edit 3: for everyone wondering if she’s slept with my fiancé.. I promise you that she has not lol she lives in the state that I grew up in, which is where the wedding is taking place. Last year I moved across the country to be with my fiancé. Lora has only met him four or five times. She’s definitely not sleeping with him lol

Girls from middle- and upper-class families in Europe typically preferred outfits like the Russian princess Tatiana Alexandrovna Ioussoupova or the Queen and Empress Alexandra of Great Britain in 1863.
They observe the dresses that famous people wear, and they want to imitate these dresses themselves.
However, the stars derive their inspiration from the fashionistas' walkouts. Every dress in the wedding collection has a narrative and associated meaning that is connected to the rest of the collection, as demonstrated in the video from AFP Paris Mode that asks fashion designers about the size of their wedding dresses.

Bridesmaid/Bridesman Advice Needed
I need advice, please! This is my wedding dress, which is reversible. One side is ivory cotton, the other is burgundy satin (the swatch shown is velvet, but the dress is satin). For the ceremony I'll be wearing it on the white side, and reversing it for the reception. I can't decide what color to have for my bridesmaids/bridesmans dresses. I have thee female and two male bridesmaids, and would like them to match - but I want the boys to look different from the groomsmen, who will be wearing black, or maybe navy (fiancé is still deciding, and I want him to have first pick). I'm getting married at The Ruins in Seattle and would like the colors to vibe with both the burgundy of my dress as well as the venue. I originally thought to do gold, with a champagne color for the boy's tuxes. Would that work? Or maybe dark silver? My jewelry/accessories will be antique silver, because it matches my ring, but the venue is definitely more gold-themed. I was also considering navy to match the groomsmen, if my fiancé goes with that, but how could I make my bridesmans stand apart if I did that? Any thoughts and advice welcome! Thank you!

2023.05.29 13:17 Winter-Wallflower How much do I as matron of honor need to interact with the bridesmaid before the wedding?

My best friend is getting married next year, and she lives on the other side of the country (US). I and the bridesmaid are both from her hometown so we would be able to rendezvous as needed.
However, we do not talk to each other. There's an awkward history between us so since my best friend became her friend, we only hung out once with all 3 of us when we went to a concert years ago. I don't like the kind of person she is, so I have never had an interest in seeing her outside of doing it for my best friend.
I only have wedding experience from my own, which was small and quickly planned, and at the time my best friend still lived around me. My mom honestly did most of the work because I was pretty young, and we just did small things when she said she needed help.
Given that my best friends wedding will be much larger, lengthy time to plan, and there's an entire country between us, I am less sure of my responsibilities as matron of honor. Part of that being, should I be coordinating with the bridesmaid?
There are 3 specific things I can think of where I maybe should be, but I'd love any other thoughts on this and other things I've not considered yet.
1, the bridal party gets to pick our own dresses. Should I be checking in with the bridesmaid to coordinate? First thought is that we want our colors to match. Burgundy/maroon is the color, but that can technically be a wide range of shades so I don't know if they could end up looking drastically different. Second thought is that she's not had an upbringing with special events of any kind (not even prom/graduation) so I don't know if she'll dress for the occasion. It'll be a large wedding with 100 guests.
2, the something borrowed, blue, old, and new. My mom did all of this for me, but I believe it's standard for some of this to be on the bridal party. Is that right? Or is that on me and the mother in law (her own mom has long passed)?
3, we will join the bridal gown shopping via video chat. Should i make it easier on the person in charge of that interaction by meeting with bridesmaid in person so that's there's need for only one video connection? It will likely be on a phone, so I'm not sure the capability of Zoom or something where i know multiple people can be on at once.
Did I miss any other important milestones? What more should I expect as matron out of state? I will likely only be able to fly over once for the week leading up to the day, and the bridesmaid will likely only be a day or two before. Though with so much time until the wedding, I am hoping to afford another flight before then.
With all of that said, I would highly appreciate any advice. My best friend is very important to me and she waited a long time for the proposal so I want to help make her day as great as I can.

2023.05.28 17:55 pharmcirl Wedding guest outfit for spouse of best man

Hi all,
My husband is the best man in the wedding of two of our friends in a few months and I’m shopping for dresses for myself, who is not in the wedding. His tux is Navy and the bridesmaids are wearing long burgundy dresses. I want something that won’t clash with his tux but nothing that could be mistaken for the wedding party so burgundy is out.
My usual colors are black and red so I don’t have anything in my closet that fits the bill. I’m thinking either navy to match his tux or a dusty blue color that compliments navy but isn’t a wedding color. The velvet off the shoulder dress is one I ordered for a wedding last year and actually really liked the color on me but ultimately went with a different dress. I usually wear form fitting heavier fabrics too but have wanted to try to puffy dress trend and branch out a bit.
I’m 4’11” and about a size 12/14 US, I’m willing to have a dress altered too if necessary.
These are screenshots of the look I was thinking but I’m up for any ideas!https://imgur.com/a/3urPJ86/

How to style Tory Burch Lee Radziwill
I have this color way as well as a burgundy and forest green suede. I know they’re both more for the fall, but I saw them in my closet this afternoon and I was sad! They’re so beautiful and I literally never wear them. I always feel like they’re too structured for a casual look and not the type of bag I go for when I get dressed up. Too ludicrously capacious lol. How would you style these bags, apart from in a professional look?

2023.05.27 10:27 Ok_Fig6478 "Youth fashion" in the 2010s

I got really into fashion as a young teenager around 2010. After my business casual phase in maybe 2010 to 2012, I remember seeing a lot of boho styles, florals, skater skirts, tube and bustier tops, lace etc. but I was not old enough to go out much or rock most of these.
When I was old enough to go party, dress nicely etc. in the mid to late 10s I remember fashion being more toned down, like there was definitely an all black trend at some point, a lot of burgundy, and some more grunge fashion like ripped jeans, black leather jackets and boots etc.
I don't dislike any of these trends retrospectively, but for some reason I feel like the earlier 2010s fashion was more playful and (subjectively!) more fun. But it's also possible that I just gravitated to less playful clothes in the mid to late 2010s because of personal taste or them being easier to style. Or that I remember it wrong 😆 Also important to note there were a plethora of different, partly short lived trends and styles.
If you were also a teenageyoung adult in the 2010s, do you agree or disagree with my memories? Maybe you were in a different subculture or style, location etc. and I'd love to hear and chat about it!
